    摘要: A charger for portable terminal equipment, capable of distinguishing a nickel-hydride battery pack and a nickel-cadmium battery pack and of detecting an on-hook/off-hook condition even when the nickel-hydride battery pack is used. The charger includes a charging circuit, a pair of third charging terminals connected to the charging circuit and adapted to be selectively connected to either a pair of first charging terminals of the nickel-hydride battery pack or a pair of second charging terminals of the nickel-cadmium battery pack, and a third auxiliary terminal adapted to be selectively connected to either a first auxiliary terminal of the nickel-hydride battery pack or a second auxiliary terminal of the nickel-cadmium battery pack. The charger further includes a device for comparing a voltage at the third auxiliary terminal with a first reference voltage and detecting the on-hook condition or the off-hook condition of the portable terminal equipment, and a device for comparing the voltage at the third auxiliary terminal with a second reference voltage lower than the first reference voltage and distinguishing the nickel-hydride battery pack and the nickel-cadmium battery pack.

    摘要: An X-ray image intensifier has a vacuum envelope consisting of glass, and an input window consisting of aluminum and having a sectional meridian radius of curvature which increases from the central portion of the input window to the peripheral portion thereof is arranged on the input side of the vacuum envelope with a metal holding ring and a Kovar ring. An input phosphor surface is arranged adjacent to the inner surface side of the input window, and an X-ray image incident through the input window is converted into a photoelectron image. In order to minimize an influence caused by scattering of X-rays or .gamma.-rays incident through the input window, an input substrate is brought as close to the input window as possible. A coaxial cylindrical focusing electrode and an annular focusing electrode are arranged on the side wall in the vacuum envelope, and an anode is arranged on an output end side. An output window is formed on the output side of the anode, and an output phosphor member is arranged on the inner surface side of the output window. A transmittance with respect to a radiation beam increases in inverse proportion to the energy of the radiation beam. A transmittance abruptly increases in an area extending from the intermediate portion of the input window to the outermost periphery of the input window.

    摘要: An X-ray imaging tube which comprises a vacuum envelope, an input screen comprising a substrate located in the input end of the envelope, an input phosphor layer formed on the substrate and comprising a number of columnar phosphor crystals, and a photoelectric layer formed directly or indirectly on the input phosphor layer, an anode and an ouput screen located in the output end of the envelope, and a beam-converging electrode located in the envelope and extending along the inner surface of the envelope. The tube further comprising optically opaque layers which are formed in each columnar crystal and extending from the surface thereof. A method of manufacturing an X-ray imaging tube, disclosed herein, comprises the steps of vapor-depositing a predetermined phosphor on a substrate, thereby forming on the substrate an input phophor layer consisting of columnar crystals, vapor-depositing a predetermined material, thereby forming an optically opaque layer on the tip of each columnar crystal, sputtering the optically opaque layer, thereby removing a part of the optically opaque layer formed on the tip of the columnar crystal, vapor-depositing said predetermined phosphor, and, if necessary, repeating these steps, thereby forming a plurality of optically opaque layers in each columnar crystal, which extend from circumferential surface of the columnar crystal.
