    摘要: A scroll-type fluid machine comprises a stationary scroll member and an orbiting scroll member, each having an end plate and a spiral wrap projecting radially from the end plate, the stationary and orbiting scroll members being assembled with their wraps meshing with each other to define a plurality of compression chambers. A plurality of expanding and contracting actuators are secured on a frame and contact with the orbiting scroll member. The actuators are driven by respective A.C. voltages supplied from a driving circuit. The contact points between the actuators and the orbiting scroll member are progressively moved by expanding and contracting motions of the actuators energized by supplied voltages, the A.C. voltages for energizing the actuators being different in phase from each other so that the orbiting scroll member orbits without rotating on its own axis. The actuators also serve to confine an axial movement of the orbiting scroll member and to prevent the orbiting scroll member from disengaging from the stationary scroll member. With this arrangement, a compact, light-weight, oil-free and low-noise scroll-type fluid machine can be provided.

    摘要: A method of producing reduced iron and light oil from iron ore and heavy oil which comprises a thermal cracking step of subjecting heavy oil to thermal cracking while retaining iron ore particles in a fluidized state to produce light oil and simultaneously to deposit coke as by-product on the surface of the iron ore particles; a gasification step of putting the coke-deposited ore in contact with an oxidizing gas including steam and oxygen in a fluidized state to react the coke with the gas thereby to produce a reducing gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide and of heating the coke-deposited ore upward of a reduction temperature of iron ore by partial oxidization of the coke; and a reduction step of reducing the coke-deposited iron ore in a fluidized state by the reducing gas to produce reduced iron. When the gasification step is performed by an oxidizing gas containing a majority of steam and up to 15 vol. %, based on the steam, of oxygen at 800.degree.-1000.degree. C. under a pressure of 0-10 kg/cm.sup.2 G, a reducing gas containing high-concentration hydrogen gas is obtained.

    摘要: A combustor device of a gas turbine engine, which combustor device is supplied with compressed air from a compressor and delivers combustion gas to a turbine, comprises an outer casing and an inner casing defining therein a combustion chamber and forming between the outer and inner casings an annular passage for the intake of the compressed air, a swirler opening being provided at the innermost end of the inner casing for taking the compressed air into the combustion chamber. Swirling motion of the compressed air around the inlet of the swirler opening, which causes static pressure drop at the swirler opening inlet and resultant undesirable combustion, is effectively prevented by providing swirl preventing vanes between the inner and outer casings. When the swirl preventing vanes are provided near the swirler opening, guide vanes may be provided near the upstream end of the annular passage to intentionally impart swirling motion to the compressed air to prevent non-uniform distribution of the supplied compressed air.
