Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and device for performing or supporting selective decoding of a beacon frame in a wireless LAN system. A method of decoding a frame by a station STA in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: determining whether to decode each of a first data portion and a second data portion of the frame; and decoding one or more of the first data portion and the second data portion if it is determined that the decoding is performed. Hence, the frame may further include information that is used for the determination by the station STA on whether to decode each of the first data portion and the second data portion, and whether to decode may be determined on the basis of whether to change one or more of the first data portion and the second data portion.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for accessing a channel in a wireless LAN. A method for a station (STA) initially accessing the channel in the wireless LAN comprises the steps of: the STA receiving from an access point (AP) a frame including channel state information and a set of an N (a natural number wherein N>1) number of access parameter sets; the STA selecting a random variable when the channel state information indicates that a wireless link is busy; the STA selecting one access parameter set from the N number of access parameter sets on the basis of the one access parameter and transmitting an association request frame to the AP.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for updating a listen interval in a wireless communication system. To this end, a method for updating a listen interval by a station (STA) of a wireless communication system may comprise, if an operation mode of the station is changed, a request frame including information indicating that the operation mode of the station is changed, to an access point (AP); and receiving a response frame in response to the request frame from the AP. If a value of a listen interval of the station is changed as the operation mode of the station is changed, the request frame further include a value of a new listen interval of the station.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for updating system information in a wireless LAN system. A method for a station (STA) to update system information in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: if the value of a change sequence field received by the STA from an access point (AP) is different from the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA, transmitting, to the AP, a probe request frame including the change sequence field set to the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA; and a step of receiving, from the AP, a probe response frame responding to the probe request frame including the change sequence field.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for transmitting a signal of a station (STA) operable in a power saving mode in a wireless communication system, and the method for transmitting a signal comprises a step of transmitting a PS-Poll frame and/or a trigger frame according to a first time period, wherein an integrated scaling factor is applied to the first time period, and the integrated scaling factor is also commonly applied to a second time period in which the STA can omit frame transmission by maintaining an association state with an access point (AP).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for transmitting and receiving a traffic indication map in a wireless communication system, and to an apparatus for same. More particularly, the method includes a step of transmitting a traffic indication map (TIM) to a station (STA) through a beacon frame, wherein the TIM can include a bitmap field configured of one or more sub-block bitmaps for indicating whether buffered downlink data exists for an STA which is grouped to one or more sub-blocks, and a block control field indicating an encoding scheme of the bitmap field.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for transceiving channel availability query and response in a wireless communication system. According to the present invention, a scheme is provided to enable devices which operate in TVWS to request/response information on an available channel in a plurality of geographical locations in a more accurate and efficient manner.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and a method and apparatus for controlling channel access in a wireless LAN system. The method for controlling the channel access of a station (STA) of a wireless communication system according to the present invention comprises detecting a short frame transmitted by another STA; and deferring the channel access of the STA by a predetermined length of time. The short frame is a frame that triggers a service period during which the transceiving of a plurality of data frames of the other STA is allowed. The predetermined length of time can be set to the value corresponding to the length of time ranging from the start of the service period to the point in time at which the transceiving of a first data frame from among the plurality of data frames of the other STA is completed.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for setting a service period (SP) of a station (STA) in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the method. More particularly, the method comprises a step of transmitting a trigger frame to an access point (AP) and starting the service period. The trigger frame may be a data frame that includes data to be transmitted to the AP or a null frame for triggering the data transmission of the AP.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) packet in a wireless local area network is described. The method includes generating a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) including a short training field (STF), a long training field (LTF), a very high throughput (VHT)-signal field, a VHT-STF, a VHT-LTF and a plurality of data streams. The STF is used for at least one receiver to estimate an automatic gain control and a coarse frequency offset. The LTF is used for the at least one receiver to estimate a fine frequency offset. The VHT-STF is used for improving automatic gain control estimation in a MIMO transmission. The VHT-LTF is used for estimating a MIMO channel based on the plurality of data streams. The PPDU is transmitted to the at least one receiver.
