Abstract: The present invention relates to a near field communication method and device in a wireless power transmission system. Abstract: The present specification relates to a device and method for wirelessly transmitting power on the basis of the reestablishment of out-band communication. The present specification discloses a wireless power receiving device comprising a communication/control circuit configured to carry out the operations of: performing handover from in-band communication using operating frequencies to out-band communication using any frequencies except for the operating frequencies; transmitting power characteristic information to the wireless power transmitting device or receiving power characteristic information from the wireless power transmitting device through the out-band communication before entering a power transmission phase; and saving power state information determined during the power transmission phase. By defining an out-band communication reestablishment protocol for the wireless power transmitting device or wireless power receiving device, it is possible to improve the performance of wireless power transmission throughout-band communication reestablishment that is fast and efficient.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless power transmitter and method for detecting a RFID/NFC card. Disclosed in the present application is a wireless power receiver comprising: a power pickup unit configured to receive, in a power transfer phase, wireless power generated by magnetic coupling from a wireless power transmitter; and a communications/control unit configured to transfer, in a negotiation phase, a first end-of-power-transfer (EPT) packet to the wireless power transmitter for detecting an RFID/NFC card, and to detect the RFID/NFC card during a re-ping time secured on the basis of the first EPT packet, wherein the first EPT packet instructs requesting the removal of a power signal for a predetermined time. As the process for detecting communication cards, such as RFID or NFC, between the wireless power transmitter and receiver is clearly defined, such RFID/NFC cards can be protected against getting destroyed by the wireless power, and a stable wireless power transfer can be achieved.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device and method for wireless power transfer to multiple devices using a multi-coil. In a one-to-multiple wireless power transfer system using a multi-coil, various applications of wireless power can be efficiently supported by defining configuration information, control information, management information, and procedures for the exchanges thereof as an out-band communication protocol.
