摘要: Methods and arrangements for creating and building subcategories in a user-based voice application. User posts are appended to a category in a voice application and subdivision of the category is prompted upon satisfaction of a first condition. The category is designated as a parent category, and at least one subcategory nomination are solicited from users. User input is solicited on appending at least one nominated subcategory to the parent category, and a nominated subcategory is appended to the parent category upon satisfaction of a second condition. User input is solicited to reassign a user post from the parent category to at least one subcategory.

摘要: A method of delivering a compound of interest to the lungs of a subject by the intravenous injection of Sertoli cells loaded with a plurality of chitosan nanoparticles coupled with the compound of interest is provided. Testis-derived rat Sertoli cells were pre-loaded with chitosan nanoparticles coupled with or without the drug curcumin, pre-labeled with a fluorescent cell marker and then injected intravenously into the control or asthmatic mouse model host. Intact pre-loaded, pre-labeled Sertoli cells were present in the lungs at 15 minutes post-injection, appeared entrapped in the pulmonary pre-capillary vascular bed around alveolar sacs but were not present one hour post-injection although Sertoli cell label and cellular debris was. Most of the of the injected nanoparticle to load (70%) and curcumin load (80%) was present in the lungs 15 minutes post-injection, and remained at 70% and 80%, respectively, one hour post-injection.

摘要: An air turbine starter for starting an engine includes a housing, and a flow path communicating a flow of gas therethrough; a turbine member; a clutch; and a decoupler device at least partially housed within the output member of the clutch. The decoupler device includes a first shaft portion coupled to and rotating with the output member and a second shaft portion coupled to and rotating with the engine. The first and second shaft portions are axially aligned and configured to engage each another for rotation in a first direction and to separate from each other in a second direction to decouple the output member of the clutch from the engine. The starter further includes a bearing between the inner surface of the output member and the second shaft portion for reducing friction between the second shaft portion and the inner surface of the output member when the first and second shaft portions are decoupled.

摘要: Modifying Xpath queries dynamically during an ongoing Xpath evaluation. A modification request comprising at least one Xpath query in response to an input is received in an ongoing Xpath evaluation on an online stream of XML messages. A current generation of Nondeterministic Finite Automaton (NFA) is generated and the branches starting from the root node are identified according to the modification request. The identified branches are copied and modified to create a new generation of NFA. New generation of NFA is used for subsequent Xpath evaluations.

摘要: A method for enabling voice driven interactions among multiple interactive voice response (IVR) systems begins by receiving a telephone call from a user of a first IVR system to begin a transaction; and, automatically contacting, by the first IVR system, at least one additional IVR system. Specifically, the contacting of the additional IVR system includes assigning tasks to the additional IVR system. The tasks require input from the user and the additional IVR system is secure and separate from the first IVR system. Moreover, the tasks can include a transfer of currency and a transfer of local information.

摘要: A method, apparatus and computer-readable medium is disclosed for prominent selection cues for icons. When an icon is in focus, and after expiration of a predetermined period of time, the icon can be displayed more prominently, e.g., display a larger representation of the icon, thereby increasing the icon's visibility. The icon can be displayed more prominently after the icon remains in focus for a predetermined amount of time. This functionality can be advantageous in applications having limited display area, such as on portable media players and mobile devices. Accordingly, the smaller display area of such devices is used more effectively by using prominent selection cues for navigating and displaying information.

摘要: A vehicle exterior lamp is provided with an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) with rows and columns and each LED positioned at an intersection thereof. An LED is illuminated by selectively applying a signal to the row and column corresponding to the LED position. A vehicle headlamp lighting system is provided with an array of LEDs with rows and columns, and each LED positioned at a row and column intersection. The lighting system has a control module for selectively illuminating the LEDs by applying a signal to the rows and to the columns corresponding to the location of the LEDs to be illuminated. A vehicle headlamp is provided with an optical structure for reflection and refraction of light and LEDs. Light emitted by the LEDs interacts with the optical structure and exits the headlamp in a generally perpendicular direction to the LED emitted light.

摘要: Progressive evaluation of predicate expressions in streaming XPath processor. A method for evaluating multiple XPath predicate expressions of multiple XPath queries includes identifying includes determining hit of a location path in a SAX event. All XPath predicate expressions of all XPath queries corresponding to the location path are then identified. All leaf nodes in the XPath predicate expressions corresponding to the location path are then determined. Thereafter, storage of nearest parent nodes of the leaf nodes is checked. Each nearest parent node is a first parent node which is encountered while moving from a leaf node towards a root node in an XPath predicate expression and which requires storage for storing intermediate Boolean result. Results of parent nodes of the leaf nodes are the determined based on the checking. Thereafter, the results of the parent nodes are stored if the results of the parent nodes are Boolean results. Further, results of root nodes of the XPath predicate expressions are determined by progressively evaluating subsequent parent nodes of the parent node.
