摘要: In an OFDM receiver, one of a plurality of antennas is selected based on a ratio X of two moving average integration values (first moving average integration value and second moving average integration value) that are calculated from a non-delay symbol and a delay symbol. It could be said that the second moving average integration value represents excessive false information (that is, whether the state of the transmission line is good). Accordingly, determination of the ratio X between the second moving average integration value and the first moving average integration value and selection of one of the plurality of antennas based on the ratio X enables judgment on whether the state of the transmission line is good even during a period other than a guard interval period Tg, that is, during an effective symbol period Tu.

摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device. An optical film having negative uniaxial double refractive index ellipsoids is arranged below a semi-transmitting liquid crystal display cell and, thereafter, a λ/4 phase difference plate, a λ/2 phase difference plate and a polarizer are arranged. The orientation axis direction of the optical film having negative uniaxial double refractive index ellipsoids is substantially equal to the direction which is rotated by 90° in the clockwise direction from a resultant vector of the orientation axis direction of the upper orientation film and the orientation axis direction of the lower orientation film of the liquid crystal display cell. Further, phase lagging axis of the upper and lower λ/4 phase difference plate is set substantially equal to the orientation axis direction of the optical film having negative uniaxial double refractive index ellipsoids.

摘要: A semiconductor device and an image data processing apparatus are capable of easily realizing address control, simplifying a circuit for address control, and easily realizing access to image data while reducing the volumes of pieces of image data of different resolutions in different hierarchies. In the image data processing apparatus, a memory cell array stores pieces of composite data, each containing a piece of pixel data and additional information data, for example, a motion vector associated with the pixel data. A designated pixel data and a motion vector associated with the pixel data are read out and a search region is suitably predicted and set up on the basis of the motion vector, and motion estimation is performed in the search region, for example, by a block matching process. Accordingly, motion estimation can be performed in a small search region equivalent to a large search region having been generally used for motion estimation, to realize high-speed, high-efficient motion estimation and improve the estimation accuracy.

摘要: A constant current circuit includes a first and a second group of transistors whose emitters are connected via respective resistors to a voltage source. The collectors of the first-group transistors (50, 51) are connected together to an output terminal (43) and those of the second-group transistors (70, 71) are connected together to a current source (74) that produces a constant current (I). The bases of the first- and second-group transistors are connected together to form a current mirror, so that the same constant current is drawn by the first-group transistors to the output terminal. From the output terminal, a current inversely variable with uniform resistance variations is drawn, so that a current supplied from the output terminal is a difference between the constant current and the inversely variable current. The current from the output terminal drives an active filter (10) which includes switching circuits and resistor-capacitor circuitry.

摘要: A photosensor system is provided which includes a photosensor array constituted by two-dimensionally arraying a plurality of photosensors, a driver circuit for supplying a drive signal to the photosensors, and a controller for controlling a reading operation of a subject image and a sensitivity setting. Before the start of normal reading operation of a subject image, a pre-reading operation of changing the image reading sensitivity at a plurality of stages for respective rows is executed. A row in an optimal image reading state is easily determined based on the dynamic range distribution of the lightness data of read image data or a dynamic range distribution from which an abnormal value deviating from the main change trend of lightness data is removed, and the linearly differentiated value of the dynamic range. An image reading sensitivity set for this row is set as an optimal sensitivity.

摘要: A liquid crystal is interposed between a first transparent substrate having first electrodes and a second transparent substrate having other electrodes. Pixel regions are formed at portions where the first electrodes and the other electrodes are opposed to each other. A semitransparent reflecting film is formed between the first transparent substrate and the first electrodes. The semitransparent reflecting film is formed with light transmission apertures in each pixel region. The semitransparent reflecting film also occupies portions corresponding to the gaps between the adjacent pixel regions. Alternatively, in addition to the light transmission apertures, the semitransparent reflecting film is formed with slits at positions corresponding to the gaps between the adjacent pixel regions. A light absorption film is formed between the first transparent substrate and the semitransparent reflecting film at positions corresponding to the slits, or the slits are charged with a light absorption film.
