    摘要: An apparatus according to an embodiment of the invention includes an elongate body having a distal end configured to releasably couple the elongate body to a delivery device. A lock tube is movably disposable within a lumen of the elongate body. A connector is disposed at a proximal end of the elongate body and is configured to releasably couple a pelvic implant to the elongate body. The lock tube is configured to be slidably moved to a position adjacent the pelvic implant to secure the pelvic implant to the elongate body. A method according to an embodiment of the invention includes placing a portion of an implant through an opening defined by a dilator. A first elongate body of the dilator is moved relative to a second elongate body of the dilator to secure the implant to the dilator.

The elongate member defines a slot which extends along an axis parallel to the central axis. The actuator is coupled to the elongate member and is accessible through the slot. The actuator is moveable from a first position to a second position different than the first position. The thread member is coupled to the actuator and has a receiving portion. The thread member is moveable from a first position to a second position different than the first position when the actuator is moved from its first position to its second position. A portion of the thread member is disposed within a lumen defined by the elongate member when the thread member is in its first position. At least a portion of the thread member extends from a distal opening defined by the elongate member when the thread member is in its second position.

    摘要: Low profile adaptor for use with a medical catheter, such as a gastrostomy feeding tube. In a preferred embodiment, the adaptor comprises a body having a lower portion and an upper portion. A first channel is provided in the lower portion, and a second channel is provided in the upper portion, the first and second channels being perpendicular to and in fluid communication with one another. A generally cylindrical stem is coaxially positioned within the second channel, the stem being rotatably mounted about its longitudinal axis. The stem is hollow and has an open front end, a closed rear end and a hole in its side wall, the hole being rotatably alignable with the first channel. To facilitate rotational alignment of the hole with the first channel, a stop is formed on the exterior of the stem, the stop being engageable with a surface positioned within the second channel. The front end of the stem is recessed relative to the front end of the second channel to prevent unwanted rotation of the stem. Rotation of the stem from a closed position to an open position is achieved by screwing a syringe onto the front end of the stem. The proximal end of the gastrostomy feeding tube is inserted over the lower portion of the body and is secured thereto with a nut.

The medical device includes an elongate member, a mechanism, and an actuator. The mechanism is disposed at the distal portion of the elongate member. The actuator is at least partially disposed within the elongate member and coupled to the mechanism for actuating the mechanism relative to the elongate member. The elongate member is capable of being bent into a shape by the user and of retaining the shape during use. The shape may include multiple bends, in multiple directions, as needed for an application. Thereafter, the elongate member is capable of being bent into a second shape by the user and of maintaining the second shape during use.
