    摘要: A system is provided for optimizing throughput in a communication system. During operation, the system receives, at a first antenna, estimated channel state information (CSI) at least one channel between the first antenna and at least one second antenna. The system obtains antenna correlation information associated with the first antenna and the second antenna, respectively. The system further calculates a set of noise terms associated with random noise for the at least one channel, and optimizes a configuration of beamformers for the first antenna and the at least one second antenna that maximizes a throughput of all antennas, in accordance with the estimated CSI, the obtained antenna correlation information, and the noise terms.

    摘要: At a first User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network, signaling that is associated with a direct wireless communication link between the first UE and a second UE is received. Signaling indicative of an estimate of range between the first UE and the second UE, based on the received signaling, is transmitted to network equipment in the wireless communication network. According to another aspect of the present disclosure, signaling that is indicative of an estimate of range associated with such a direct wireless communication link is received, and signaling indicative of a prediction model and/or signaling indicative of a prediction from the prediction model is transmitted. The prediction model is for prediction of Line of Sight (LoS) status of communication links in the wireless communication network, and is based in part on the estimate of range.

Beam indices could be used to identify antenna beams for antenna beam management, in control signaling between base stations and User Equipment (UE), for example.     摘要: Network equipment receives, from User Equipment (UE), information indicative of each of multiple UE locations in a wireless communication network. For each location, a respective antenna beam direction for communications between the network equipment and a UE at each location is determined. A Machine Learning (ML) module is trained using each location as an ML module input and the respective antenna beam direction for each location as an ML module output. The trained ML module is then used to provide beam predictions based on UE location. Based on the current location of a UE, one or more antenna beam directions for communications between the network equipment and the UE at the current location are obtained from the ML module. The UE location is input to the ML module, and the antenna beam direction(s) are then obtained from the ML module output(s).

The one or more values are determined based on the received reference signaling. The direction has a higher accuracy than a beam width associated with the received reference signaling. The direction may be or include an angle of arrival or an angle of departure, for example, and in the case of an angle of departure signaling indicative of the one or more values is transmitted by the first communication device, to the second communication device or another component such as network equipment.
