Abstract:
A service enabler architecture layer (SEAL) system for a wireless communication network and a method therefor are provided. The SEAL system includes: a SEAL function entity including SEAL service servers corresponding to functionalities associated with service applications, where the SEAL function entity is an intermediate layer between a 3GPP network core and a service application system, and interfaces provided by the SEAL service servers. The SEAL system also provisions inter-services communication in a SEAL system of wireless communication network by receiving a request from a service application system for accessing at least one functionality of a plurality of functionalities, determines at least one functionality of the plurality of functionalities requested by the service application system based on the request, and provides at least one functionality to the service application system based on the inter-services communication in the SEAL system.
Abstract:
A method and a system for transmission control in a network supporting MC services are provided. The method includes associating a predefined priority to a data transmission request from a communication device, availing MC services, based on type of the data transmission request. The type of the data transmission request is classified in at least one arbitration category. Further, the method includes managing flow of data associated with the data transmission request in the network based on the associated predefined priority.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method and system for audio cut-in functionality in a mission critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) system. The method includes receiving, by a floor control server, a first floor request message, from a primary floor participant while a floor is granted to a secondary floor participant, applying, by the floor control server, an audio cut-in policy, granting, by the floor control server, the floor to the primary floor participant while terminating a media transmission of the secondary floor participant by revoking the floor from the secondary floor participant, and transmitting, by the floor control server, a first floor taken message to the secondary floor participant, wherein the first floor taken message includes information of the primary floor participant.
Abstract:
A method for performing a data session via a Wi-Fi access of a user equipment (UE) in a cellular network is provided. The method includes maintaining a look-up table including at least an entry, the entry including a Wi-Fi identifier of a Wi-Fi access point (AP) and location information of the Wi-Fi AP, determining whether a user preference for a Wi-Fi connection is set to ON or OFF, checking whether at least one matched entry of the look-up table is found based on current location information of the UE, scanning to discover the Wi-Fi AP, connecting to a Wi-Fi AP corresponding to the matched entry based on a result of the determining, and performing a data session via a Wi-Fi access to the connected Wi-Fi AP.
Abstract:
The embodiments of the present invention disclose a system and method for enabling Enhanced Visual Calls (EVC). The system includes an EVC client provided in a User Device to access network-based EVC functional components and device-based functional components to enable a user to request for EVC services, and an EVC server configured for authentication and processing of one or more EVC service requests received from the EVC client, accessing an EVC XML Document Management Server (XDMS) for retrieving a visual web content and an audio content related to the received one or more EVC service requests, synchronizing the visual web content with the audio content to provide the EVC client with a visual Interactive Voice Response (IVR) menu related to the audio content, and transmitting, to the EVC client, the visual IVR menu related to the one or more EVC service requests for displaying at the user device.
