A color signal processing apparatus and method calculate without errors a control vector that is a driving signal of a multi-primary display (MPD) corresponding to an input color signal in order to reproduce the input color signal on the MPD using at least four primary colors. The color signal processing apparatus includes: an XYZ color signal conversion unit; a parallel processing unit that obtains a polyhedron corresponding to a color gamut of the MPD in the CIE-XYZ color space based on an MPD Forward Model, divides the polyhedron into plural pyramids, and outputs intermediate values for calculating the control vector based on the plural pyramids; a restriction condition checking unit that outputs a valid value satisfying a physical restriction condition out of the calculated intermediate values and outputs an index for a pyramid for which the valid value is calculated; a pattern arrangement unit; and a control vector arrangement unit.

A field emission display includes a first substrate, cathode electrodes formed on the first substrate, conductive layers formed on the cathode electrodes having first apertures to expose portions of the cathode electrodes, an insulating layer formed on the conductive layers and having second apertures communicating with the first apertures, gate electrodes formed on the insulating layer and having third apertures communicating with the second apertures, emitters formed on the cathode electrodes and within the first apertures, a second substrate provided opposing the first substrate with a predetermined gap therebetween; and an anode layer formed on the second substrate, and phosphor layers formed on the anode electrode. In a first direction, second and third measurements of the second and third apertures are larger than a first measurement of the first apertures, and each of the emitters is realized in an integral unit.

An improved repair technique for repairing a computer via a computer communication network automatically transfers stored system information particulars upon a request of a host computer of a service center. The computer includes a central processing unit(CPU) for processing application programs; a read only memory(ROM) for storing programs which initialize and test the computer when the computer is turned on; a second memory for storing system information therein; a monitor for displaying information which is manipulated by the programs; and a modem for transferring the stored system information to a host computer upon a request of the host computer via a communication network.

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a triode field emission display (FED) that can accommodate a large screen size and that has holes that are minutely and uniformly formed. The method includes forming cathode electrodes on a first substrate; depositing a photosensitive material on the first substrate covering the cathode electrodes; patterning the photosensitive material in a predetermined pattern to form guide supports for the formation of insulation layer holes at locations where an electron emitting layer will be formed on the cathode electrodes; forming a preliminary insulation layer on the first substrate covering the guide supports; removing the guide supports from the cathode electrodes to form holes at the locations of the guide supports, thereby realizing a completed insulation layer from the preliminary insulation layer; forming gate electrodes on the insulation layer, the gate electrodes having holes corresponding to the holes of the insulation layer; forming an electron emitting layer on the cathode electrodes; providing a second substrate with anode electrodes and a phosphor layer formed thereon, substantially in parallel to the first substrate, and connecting and sealing the first and second substrates to realize a sealed assembly; and exhausting air from within the sealed assembly.

An optical disk is provided including a read only memory region formed on one surface of the optical disk and recorded with information, a non-volatile memory formed on the other surface of the optical disk opposite to the surface formed with the read only memory region, a mark formed on the surface of the optical disk where the non-volatile memory is formed, and one or more dummy memories arranged on the optical disk in such a manner that the center of weight of the optical disk is positioned at the center of the optical disk. Also, provided is an optical disk unit adapted to use the optical disk, which includes a non-volatile memory pickup unit for reading data recorded on the non-volatile memory of the optical disk and writing data onto the non-volatile memory. The optical disk unit is controlled by applying a write or read command to the non-volatile memory, sensing the mark on the optical disk, stopping the optical disk, electrically connecting the pickup to the non-volatile memory, executing a data reading or writing operation for the non-volatile memory, and electrically disconnecting the pickup from the non-volatile memory. Additionally, there is further provided an optical disk unit for a cartridge type optical disk, with at least one non-volatile memory formed on one surface of the cartridge.

An output signal measuring apparatus for a multiple frequency oscillator device and output signal measuring and correcting methods therefor which are capable of accurately and rapidly measuring a signal from each terminal of a multiple frequency oscillator device and minimizing a measuring and correcting time by automatically performing a correction required for a measurement. The apparatus is capable of measuring each terminal of a multiple frequency oscillator based on a switching circuit in accordance with control of a computer by integrating a plurality of measuring equipment into one system for satisfying a corresponding measuring item with respect to all terminals of the multiple frequency oscillator, automatically correcting with respect to each such terminal, and accurately and rapidly measuring each terminal of the multiple frequency oscillator by using a predetermined time and manpower, thus implementing mass production.

A computer system having a function of interrupting lewd/violent programs which includes a read-only-memory for storing an initialization program and a security grade setup program; a non-volatile memory device for storing a security grade which is a program classification code selected by a user for designating an unacceptable program content contained in an application program, and a password for identifying the user when changing the security grade; and a controller for controlling execution of an application program according to the security grade of the application program and the security grade stored in the non-volatile memory device during initialization, and for controlling the changing of the security grade stored in the non-volatile memory device during the security grade setup, when the user inputs a password that corresponds to the password stored in the non-volatile memory device. As a result, the computer system is able to limit access to application programs that contain unacceptable levels of graphic sex, violence, and strong language.
