摘要: To make it possible to sustain a low power consumption for the entire driver in a driver of a piezoelectric actuator, by reducing the number of components and switching the piezoelectric actuator at a high speed. Common resistors Ra and Rb for current limitation are interposed at some midpoint of the feeder lines 19 and 21. Phototransistors Q1 to Q8 are connected to the power source side of the common resistors Ra and Rb of the feeder lines 19 and 21. Piezoelectric actuators 1a to 1h are connected to terminals Sa and Sb of the common resistors Ra and Rb on the side opposite to the power supply section, and to the joints of the phototransistors Q1 to Q8. Light emitting diodes D1 to D8 are disposed in proximity to the phototransistors Q1 to Q8, and the light emitting diodes D1 to D8 are switched and conducted at a switching control section 25. The switching control section 25 overlaps conduction control of the light emitting diodes D1 to D8 corresponding to the next piezoelectric actuators 1a to 1h, after the 70% charged state of the piezoelectric actuators 1a to 1h in association with the on-operation of the piezoelectric actuators 1a to 1h.

摘要: Disclosed are processes for manufacturing glass optical elements by press molding a heated and softened glass material in preheated molds. In the process, the glass material is heated while it is floated by a gas blow and the heated and softened glass material is transferred to the preheated molds and then subjected to press molding. Alternatively, the process comprises: heating a glass material at a temperature at which the glass material has a viscosity of lower than 109 poises, preheating molds at a temperature at which the glass material has a viscosity of from 109 to 1012 poises, subjecting the heated and softened glass material to initial press in the preheated molds for 3 to 60 seconds, starting to cool the vicinity of molding surfaces of the molds at a rate of 20° C./minute or higher upon starting of, or during, or after the initial press, and removing a molded glass article from the molds after the temperature of the vicinity of the molding surfaces of the molds becomes a temperature equal to or lower than a temperature at which the glass material has a viscosity of 1012 poises.

摘要: A spinning ring structure for use on a spinning frame comprises a stationary ring fixedly held in place, a rotary ring fitted in the stationary ring coaxially with the stationary ring so as to rotate about its center axis and provided with an annular flange at its upper end, a traveler put on the flange of the rotary ring for traveling along the flange to guide a yarn to a bobbin disposed coaxially with the rotary ring. Openings are formed through a neck portion of the rotary ring, whereby flies produced during the spinning operation by friction between the yarn and the traveler are discharged outside the spinning ring structure through the openings due to centrifugal force.

摘要: A front and rear wheel steering apparatus in a motor vehicle includes a front wheel steering mechanism and a rear wheel steering mechanism which are operatively coupled to front wheels and rear wheels rotatably supported on a vehicle frame for transmitting turning movement of a steering handlebar to the front and rear wheels. While the steering handlebar is being turned from a neutral position to a prescribed angle in one direction, the rear wheels are steered in the same direction as the front wheels, and while the steering handlebar is being turned from the prescribed angle to a maximum angle, the rear wheels are steered in the opposite direction to the front wheels. The front wheel steering angle reaches a maximum value when the steering handlebar is turned to the prescribed angle, and substantially remains at the maximum value even when the steering handlebar is further turned beyond the prescribed angle. The motor vehicle also has a rear swing arm vertically swingably mounted on the vehicle frame and supporting the rear wheels. A junction between a most downstream component of the rear wheel steering mechanism which is coupled to the vehicle frame and a most upstream component thereof which is coupled to the rear swing arm is positioned on a swing axis of the rear swing arm.
