    摘要: Disclosed is a recording apparatus that helps to achieve a reduction in size and cost. The recording apparatus has a U-turn sheet feeding mechanism for reversing and feeding a recording medium and a duplex transport mechanism for reversing the recording medium and performing printing on both sides thereof, in which the same transport path serves as a transport path for transporting the recording medium from a U-turn sheet feeding roller to a main transport roller for transporting the recording medium to a printing portion and as a transport path for reversal in duplex transport. Further, a transport roller provided in the transport path from the U-turn sheet feeding roller to the main transport roller for transporting the recording medium to the printing portion is the same as a transport roller for duplex transport. A single transport roller serves both as the U-turn transport roller and as the duplex transport roller.

    摘要: An inkjet printer has a platen defining the position of printing medium P during image printing and an ink receiver formed in the platen to be opposite to nozzle arrays of a print head. In the inkjet printer, the print head ejects ink from the nozzle arrays for pigment ink and dye ink in accordance with print data. When borderless printing is executed on the edges of printing medium, ink is ejected to lie off printing medium and then received in the ink receiver. Then, the print head ejects dye ink to pigment ink received in the ink receiver of the platen during borderless printing using pigment ink.

    摘要: This invention has as its object to make it possible to provide a recording apparatus in which even when a recording material of a different size is used, it can be prevented by a simple construction from rubbing against a recorded recording material already discharged to and supported on a recording material discharge supporting portion to thereby prevent the disturbance of the recording surface (image) thereof and improve the dischargeability and supportability of the recording material. A recording material discharge supporting unit is made removably mountable with respect to the main body of the recording apparatus, and the apparatus has a recording material holding member supported on the base member of the recording material discharge supporting unit by a recording material holding member holder and movable in the widthwise direction of the recording material, and a recording material holding member fixed onto the base member. The recording material holding members are characterized in that cams fixed to a cam shaft operatively associated with the rotative driving of a discharge roller are designed to be engaged with cam surfaces fixed to pivot shafts and pivotally moved about the pivot shafts to thereby change the recording material holding members to a holding position and a retracted position.

    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus has an ink recording region and an electrostatic attraction device. The ink recording region is located at a position spaced from an ink jet recording head. The electrostatic attraction is arranged at an opposite side to a surface of a recording medium to be recorded, in the ink recording region. The has a plurality of first regions and second regions which are alternately distributed. The first regions electrostatically attract the recording medium in the ink recording region relatively strongly and the second regions attract the recording medium relatively weakly. The electrostatic attraction serves to minimize the effects of cockling and that assures stable, high quality recording.
