摘要: A stent delivery and apposition detecting system includes at least one electrode pair of dissimilar metals mounted on a balloon of a balloon catheter. The electrode pair forms part of an electrochemical cell, and voltage and current generated from the electrochemical cell enables the system to detect when a stent mounted on the balloon achieves proper wall apposition. As the balloon is exposed to different environments, i.e., blood or tissue having different resistances, the electric potential of the electrochemical cell changes and an alert is generated by a feedback circuit to notify a user that the electrodes are in contact with tissue of the vessel wall. In one embodiment, the feedback circuit may be powered by the electrochemical cell. Multiple sets of electrode pairs may be mounted along the circumference and length of the balloon to detect differential contact between the deployed stent and the vessel wall.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for filling a therapeutic substance or drug within a hollow wire that forms a stent. The stent is placed within a chamber housing a fluid drug formulation. During filling, the chamber is maintained at or near the vapor-liquid equilibrium of the solvent of the fluid drug formulation. To fill the stent, a portion of the stent is placed into contact with the fluid drug formulation until a lumenal space defined by the hollow wire is filled with the fluid drug formulation via capillary action. After filling is complete, the stent is retracted such that the stent is no longer in contact with the fluid drug formulation. The solvent vapor pressure within the chamber is reduced to evaporate a solvent of the fluid drug formulation. A wicking means may control transfer of the fluid drug formulation into the stent.

摘要: A continuous feed line trimmer in which the spool or container of reserve cutting line is mounted independently from the trimmer. The trimmer having a set of gears or rollers that pull the cutting line from the spool or container forcing it through a hollow tube then through a hollow rotating shaft and then through a rotating cutter head to cut vegetation. By mounting the reserve spool or container of cutting line independently of the trimmer the footage of cutting line held in reserve is increased dramatically, thereby enormously reducing the downtime used to replenish cutting line. Trimmer can be mounted as a stand alone unit with its own power source or can be mounted as an auxiliary attachment on mowers, tractors etc.

摘要: A device in an AS fabric may include an event dispatch unit for generating event packets to be sent over the fabric to event handling agents. The AS device may arbitrate between different packets for the resources of a particular VC. The AS device may arbitrate between packets from different VCs downstream in the AS transaction layer while giving preference to high priority packets.

摘要: A bottom sealing workstation is provided for a cup forming machine. The bottom sealing workstation has a linear motion assembly, a rotation assembly, a phase change assembly. A first motor is mechanically connected to a linear motion assembly of the bottom sealing workstation to linearly move the linear motion assembly toward a mandrel, a second motor is mechanically connected to a rotation assembly of the bottom sealing workstation to rotate a forming tool in a circle having a radius, and a third motor is mechanically connected to the phase change assembly to adjust the radius of the circle in which the forming tool rotates. Additionally, a controller may be electrically connected to the bottom sealing workstation to send electronic signals to the first and third motors to quantitatively control various assemblies of the bottom sealing workstation.
