摘要： The present invention is directed to a map application system that employs an automatic stroll method of strolling through a virtual space into the route and distribution information change according to the interests of a user and the time of day (ie. daytime vs. nighttime, etc.). In the present invention, an article contributed to a contribution server from a contribution terminal is stored temporarily in a contribution DB. Each article is converted to information related to a spatial position by a spatial information structure process and is stored in a spatial information DB. The contribution server returns an article with the relation to the position of the neighborhood according to the input of a region name on a stroll terminal. The stroll terminal starts a stroll on the basis of a region name inputted as an initial value, and automatically sets a route on the basis of the interest information of a user. Information about the route is provided from contribution server and is appropriately displayed.

摘要： An office information system having a plurality of work stations connected via a network to mutually exchange electronic mails each includes a control information definition unit for defining control information representing what kind of processing can be performed on mails after reception, a processing log memory unit for storing log information of operations which have been performed on a received mail, a control unit for guiding a receiver by referring to both the control information and log information, a task tracking instruction unit for inquiring the processing status of mail, and a task tracking unit for reporting the status in response to such a tracking instruction. The system stores and interprets control information relating to the flow of an OA object on the network, which has been conventionally involved in the memory of an office worker, and guides the office worker to work to be done by the office worker. As a result, a chance for the OA object to stagnate at a certain location is reduced, and the circulation of OA objects on the network is totally improved.

摘要： A text retrieval method and a text retrieval apparatus for retrieving texts based on a handwritten keyword inputted from an optical character reader are provided. Respective characters of a keyword string are recognized by character recognizing device, and recognized characters of respective characters are stored in a recognized character table. At least one recognized character is extracted as proposed recognized characters of respective characters from recognized characters stored in the recognized character table, and a plurality of character strings are generated by combining one proposed character among proposed recognized characters of respective characters with one another and stored in a keyword string table. A retrieval command string for retrieving texts including at least one character string among generated character strings out of a text database is generated, and the text database is retrieved by the retrieval command, thus obtaining a retrieved result.

摘要： An input device (12) receives a natural language or conversational statement in the form of a character string (1). A processor (14) performs a natural language analysis (2) to convert the input natural language into a command language instruction for a computer program. A morphological analysis (3) compares words of the input character string with contents of a dictionary (10) to convert the input words into preselected words indicated by the dictionary which are output as another character string. In a semantic or syntax analysis (4; FIG. 9), one of the inputted and another character strings are analyzed to generate a corresponding chained functions structure (FIGS. 2, 3). From knowledge (FIG. 5, 7) described by the plurality of chained function structures and from rules stored in knowledge memory (11), a new character string is generated. If the new character string is in command language, the command is executed (7). If the new character string is not in command language, it is reanalyzed (8, 9) to generate yet another character string. In this manner, instructions can be input by a user in any of a multiplicity of national languages in conversational format and converted into appropriate command instructions for an executed computer program.

摘要： A system for changing a natural language sentence input by a user. The sentence expresses an operation specification which is translated to an operation specification command in a machine language for an operation specification object such as database. The system has a function to define specific items necessary for changing the natural language input sentence to the operation specification command without forcing the user to decide complicated definitions related to the operation specification object. The system refers to an operation specification object information table which stores at least one of the following acquired from the user:(1) A unit word or an interrogative word (phrase) with respect to each of the items in the database;(2) An explanatory sentence with respect to each of the items in the database; and(3) An item pair which is specifiable as a join condition of each of the items in the database.
