    摘要: An apparatus includes a plurality of islands each carrying multiple cantilevers. The apparatus also includes a fluidic network having a plurality of channels separating the islands. The channels are configured to provide fluid to the islands, and the fluid at least partially fills spaces between the cantilevers and the islands. Heat from the islands vaporizes the fluid filling the spaces between the cantilevers and the islands to transfer the heat away from the islands while driving the cantilevers into oscillation. The apparatus may also include a casing configured to surround the islands and the fluidic network to create a vapor chamber, where the vapor chamber is configured to retain the vaporized fluid. The islands and the fluidic network could be formed in a single substrate, or the islands could be separate and attached together by a binder located within the channels of the fluidic network.

    摘要: An IQ mixer and a method thereof. The IQ mixer comprises a pair of Gilbert cells and a degeneration inductor. Each pair of Gilbert cells comprises a pair of first current generators and a pair of switching networks. The pair of first current generators converts an RF signal pair to currents respectively. The pair of switching networks, coupled to the first current generator, modulates the converted RF signal pair with an oscillation signal pair to generate a mixed signal pair. The degeneration inductor is coupled to all pairs of the first current generators, such that it is shared by the pair of Gilbert cells.

    摘要: A system for harvesting footwear energy. The energy may be in a form of footwear movement which involves a compression and decompression of chambers situated in the footwear. There may be a back chamber in the heel area and a front chamber in the toe area of the footwear. The chambers may be filled with gas which moves in and out upon compression and decompression of the chambers at the heel and toe areas upon the ambulatory motion of a person wearing the footwear. The moving gas may go through a pneumatic rectifier that provides a unidirectional stream of gas to spin a micro-turbine which turns an electrical generator, or operate a pneumatic device.

    摘要: Ornamental features are added to glass by heating a small area of the glass which causes the glass to soften. A stamp having a raised or recessed surface is then pressed against the soft glass to form an ornamental feature on the surface. The unheated glass remains cool and is hard to provide structural support to the glass as the stamp is pressed against the surface. The stamp is then removed and the heated glass with the ornamental feature is allowed to cool and harden.
