摘要: An optical network system includes a first node that converts input signals of n systems into optical signals having wavelengths different for each of the systems and wavelength-multiplexes and transmits the optical signals and a second node that selects signals of n systems from the wavelength-multiplexed signals and outputs the signals. The first node includes an optical coupler that divides the input signals into operating system signals and redundant signals, TPNDs that convert the operating systems into optical signals, an optical switch that selects standby system signals from the redundant signals, and a TPND that converts the standby system signals into optical signals in a storage mode corresponding to a type of the standby system signals. The second node includes TPNDs that convert the optical signals converted from the operating system signals into signals of a type corresponding to the input signals, a TPND that converts the optical signals of the standby system signals into signals of the type of the input signals in a storage mode corresponding to the standby system signals, and an optical switch that selects an output destination of the signals output from the TPND.

摘要: In addition to the patches to be measured, a pattern of strips, one of which is formed by a combination of cyan and magenta and the other by a combination of yellow and black, is printed prior to the printing of the patches. The band patterns are printed by setting each of the component colors at the same gray scale value as the maximum value of the measurement patches for each color. Thus, in the printing of each band pattern, ink is ejected at two times the duty of the patch with the maximum gray scale value, thereby eliminating the viscous ink almost completely.

摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus and ink jet recording method record using different kinds of ink each having the same series color and a different density. The jet recording apparatus includes a converting unit for converting an input image density signal into an output image density signal, a binary unit for converting the output image density signal into binary data, an inverting unit for inverting the binary data, and a distributing unit for the binary data inverted and binary data to be inverted to drive data for an ink discharge unit and drive data for another ink discharge unit. Density unevenness and texture which arise from an image process, particularly a binary process, can be prevented. Different kinds of ink, each of which has the same series color and a different density, are respectively scanned so as not to overlap on the same pixel. Density unevenness due to ink soaking can be suppressed because different kinds of ink each having the same series color and a different density are not shot at the same position.

摘要: In a recording apparatus for recording on a recording medium by using a plurality of recording heads arrange at a predetermined interval in a scan direction, said recording heads are caused to scan corresponding divided recording areas, said recording heads are caused to make the record by sharing the corresponding divided recording areas when said recording heads are caused to scan the divided recording areas, and record signals to be inputted to the recording heads corresponding to the divided recording areas to be recorded in the shared manner, are independently corrected for each of the divided recording areas. As a result, the occurrence of the density difference between divided areas is prevented.
