    Abstract: This patent document describes, among other things, techniques, and apparatuses for providing paging carrier selection based on a coverage enhancement level (CEL) and associated carrier specific configuration. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a wireless device, from a first network node, a paging radio resource specific paging configuration, selecting, by the wireless device, a paging radio resource based on a paging radio resource specific paging configuration, wherein the selecting further uses a wireless device specific paging configuration in case that the wireless device is configured with the wireless device specific paging configuration, and performing a further communication operation based on the paging radio resource that is selected by the wireless device.

    Abstract: A method for providing scheduling request resources to a user equipment involves a wireless network node (e.g., an eNB) transmitting a configuration of scheduling request resources to the user equipment via radio resource control signaling, and the wireless network node enabling the scheduling request resources by transmitting a message to the user equipment via physical layer signaling. The message that enables the scheduling request resources may be transmitted as part of an uplink grant or downlink grant. In some implementations, the enabling message maps to one of several sets of scheduling request resources, which the wireless network node has previously communicated to the user equipment via radio resource control signaling. In other implementations, the selection of which set of scheduling request resources is to be enabling is made by the user equipment based on implicit signaling from the wireless node.

The method may include: obtaining, by a terminal device, timing advance (TA) list information, where the TA list information is sent to the terminal device by a base station or is configured by default to be stored in the terminal device, and the TA list information indicates at least one TA list, each TA list including at least one TA value; obtaining, by the terminal device, a target TA value according to the TA list information; and adjusting, by the terminal device, a TA for uplink channel transmission using the target TA value.
