    Abstract: Provided are a system message transmission method and device, which relate to the field of wireless communications. According to the system message transmission method, a system message is transmitted at a preset resource location; and a physical downlink channel is transmitted according to the system message. The system message may include at least one of: frequency domain location information of a system, configuration information of a physical shared channel carrying a system message, configuration information of terminal access, available resource information of the physical downlink channel, and radio frame information.

The method further includes: in a guard band mode, if a downlink timeslot of a special subframe includes N downlink symbols, determining to send the reference signal on the N downlink symbols. The method further includes:mapping and spreading a code word on a preset number of subframes or resource units for sending the mapped and spread code word. The method further includes: sending the reference signal on an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, where a resource element other than a resource element where the reference signal is located on the OFDM symbol is a muting resource element, and no data is mapped or sent on the muting resource element.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for information transmission. The method includes: transmitting information or a channel over one or more of available narrow bands. The available narrow bands include available uplink narrow bands and/or available downlink narrow bands and the available narrow bands are determined based on information including at least one of: a system bandwidth, a cell identity, a position of an anchor carrier, information indicated by a PSS, information indicated by an SSS, information indicated by a MIB and information indicated by a SIB. The information or channel transmitted over the one or more narrow bands includes at least one of: a downlink control channel, a PDSCH, an RAR, a paging message, a SIB, a MIB, a PRACH, a PUSCH, and a PUCCH. The above solution solves the problem regarding how to obtain multiple narrow bands/carriers in NB-IoT and provides a scheme for determining available narrow bands.
