The frame includes sidewalls (18) with top surface (22) having a grease collection channel (23) with a capture hole (24) located so that liquids within the grease collection channel flow through the grease capture hole and into the grease trough. The base has a grease trough well (26) configured to receive the grease trough therein. The grease trough includes a trough collection catch (28) with a sump (32), a handle base (29), and a thermally insulative handle or handle insert (30). The griddle plate has a top surface (38) and a stepped bottom surface (39) defined by a peripheral side edge (40). The stepped bottom surface includes a groove (44) which forms a drip edge (45) positioned above the grease collection channel.

    摘要： A tabletop cooking assembly for preparing foods thereon comprises a cooking element having a cooking area and a vent disposed peripherally to one side of the cooking element defining an aperture for receiving smoke from the cooking element. The assembly includes a first exhaust duct, a filter assembly, an electrostatic precipitator, and a high velocity blower. The first exhaust duct is substantially unobstructed and in fluid communication with the vent for directing smoke away from the cooking element. The high velocity blower is in fluid communication with the first exhaust duct and the filter assembly for drawing smoke from the cooking element through the vent. The heating system includes a retaining plate, a plurality of heating strips, and an insulating material. The heating strips are disposed between the retaining plate and the heating surface to heat the cooking area for preparing foods thereon.

    摘要： An electric grill pan device includes a heating pan detachably mounted above a base. A socket is mounted in the base and includes a seat and an upper cover. A compartment is defined between the upper cover and the seat. The upper cover includes a plurality of insertion holes aligned with terminals on the seat. The upper cover further includes a notch aligned with an abutment peg on the heating pan. A shield is pivotably mounted in the compartment and includes a guiding portion aligned with the abutment peg. The shield is biased to a position covering the insertion holes. When the heating pan is mounted to the base, the abutment peg presses against the guiding portion and pivots the shield to another position not covering the insertion holes, and conductive ends of a heating element on the heating pan is in electrical contact with the terminals.

    摘要： An electrical cooking apparatus comprises a base, a cooking plate separable from the base, an electrical heating resistance integral with the cooking plate, and electrical connectors borne by the base and adapted to be connected to electrical heating resistance. The base bears an extracting member movable between a rest position and an extraction position, and adapted to cause the disconnection of electrical resistance from connectors and the release of the cooking plate from the base when displaced from the rest position to the extraction position. The cooking plate is movable from a cooking position in which electrical resistance is connected to connectors, and a released position in which electrical resistance is disconnected therefrom, and the extracting member is adapted to move the cooking plate from the cooking position to the released position thereof when moved from its rest position to its extraction position.
