Abstract:
A removable cover portion for a body massager is provided with a sheet of material sized to be placed upon the body massager and adapted to be fastened to the body massager. The sheet has a reduced contact area for altering a resultant massage effect. A method for Manufacturing the cover portion provides the sheet, integrally forms a massage formation with at least two massage nodes and a cross member interconnecting the at least two massage nodes, and assembles a plurality of massage formations to the sheet of material whereby the cross members maintain the orientation of the corresponding adjacent massage nodes during assembly of the massage nodes to the sheet of material.
Abstract:
An exercise device for a person, comprising at least two substantially rigid rails, each rail having an outer surface, and inner surface, and at least one peripheral edge connecting the outer surface to the inner surface. The at least one peripheral edge includes at least one axle slot formed therein. At least one substantially cylindrical axle has two ends and is adapted for rotatably and removably receiving at least one substantially cylindrical roller thereon. Each end of each axle is adapted to be captured within one of the axle slots of one of the rails. Each roller has a peripheral surface and a maximum diameter. Each axle is spaced a distance from an adjacent axle of at least the maximum diameter of the rollers, whereby each roller may rotate freely on the at least one axle. The exercise device is able to support a person lying on his back on the rollers on a flat surface.
Abstract:
A foot massage apparatus comprises: a housing (5); a pair of replaceable footprint plates (4) with holes (40) arranged according to a particular foot massage pattern, which are placed on an upper plate (51) of the housing (5); protrusions (2; 3) protruding from the holes (40) of each replaceable footprint plate (4); a vertical adjustment mechanism provided in the housing (5), for adjusting the height of the protrusions (2; 3); a horizontal adjustment mechanism provided in the housing (5), for adjusting the horizontal position of the protrusions (2; 3); and a driving mechanism provided in the housing (5), for driving the protrusions (2; 3) to move up and down cyclically. The foot massage apparatus of the present invention has the advantages of enhancing a particular bodily function and fitting different foot sizes.
Abstract:
A massaging fluid filled bed. The massaging fluid filled bed comprises a bed having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a compartment disposed between the top surface and the bottom surface. A plurality of grippers is disposed on the bottom surface. A plurality of massaging elements is disposed beneath the top surface. The bed is further divided into a headrest section, a backrest section, a body section, and a footrest section. An insulation layer is affixed to the bottom surface. A filler fluidly is provided to fill the bed with a fluid. The plurality of massaging elements are attached to a base layer provided within the bed in a way that allows some movements for the massaging elements. The top surface of the body and the backrest section comprises a plurality of inverted U-shaped members.
Abstract:
An apparatus, includes a first object, a second object, and a shell enclosing the first and second objects and controlling the movement of the first object and the second object. The first object and the second object are balls within the shell accommodating rolling of the apparatus between first and second surfaces. The balls or other object can include a resilient material and shell includes a resilient material. The shell can include a polychloroprene material. The objects can include two similar strips of rubber forming a hollow spherical shape and covered by canvas. There can also be a resilient hollow space for movement of the first and second object while the first and second objects touch at least an area without being connected. The shell can be stretched at the outer circumferences of the first and second objects and tapering in the space between the first and second objects.
Abstract:
A therapeutic method for the correction of scoliosis, comprising a step of applying a pressure stimulation at one or more selected insertion points of intrinsic muscles of the foot plant, so as to affect sensorial afferences coming from the foot plant, and a step of stimulation of cranial receptors.
Abstract:
An automated infant massager has a base for supporting the infant and a plurality of first movable massage elements structured to underlie a portion of the infant. At least one motor is employed for effecting reciprocating movement of the first movable massage element. A plurality of second movable massage elements is provided for massaging the arms and legs of the infant. A plurality of third movable elements is provided within a head support for massaging portions of the infant's head, and a plurality of fourth movable massage elements are provided for massaging the infant's shoulders. The infant massager may, in one embodiment, be structured to receive and massage a premature infant, and in another embodiment, may be structured to receive and massage a full-term infant.
Abstract:
Device (1) for the therapy or prevention of venous and/or lymphatic insufficiencies of lower limbs, comprising: a pair of elastocompression tights (2) for venous and/or lymphatic insufficiency of lower limbs; and a plurality of elastic bulges (3-9) for stimulating the venous and lymphatic circulation, which are filled-up with discreet particles made of caoutchouc, is integral to the tights (2) and is arranged at a portion (20) thereof which is in contact with the foot sole when the tights themselves (2) are worn.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a shoe sole (1) that features a pressure massage function and comprises a bottom outsole (20), a top covering sole (40), and at least one adjustable pressure massage element (10) that is located between the outsole (20) and the covering sole (40). Said pressure massage element (10) is accessible from below through the outsole (20) via a breakthrough (21) in the outsole (20) in order to adjust the pressure massage element (10). The pressure massage element (10) is provided with a bolt (11) which extends perpendicular to the shoe sole (1) and is used for applying the pressure massage to the foot. In order to be able to activate and deactivate the massage function in a simple manner, the bolt (11) is vertically adjustable at least between a lower inactive position and an upper active position in which the bolt (11) causes the covering sole (40) to rise and thus the pressure massage to be applied to the foot.
Abstract:
A foot massaging treadmill including a supporting base mounted close to the floor. The supporting base includes a supporting board, an endless running belt slidably extending around the supporting board, and driving rollers for driving the running belt to move around the supporting board in a longitudinal direction of the supporting board. The upper surface of the running belt forms a user supporting surface. The supporting surface of the running belt provides a plurality of upward protrusions for applying pressure force to the user's foot soles. The treadmill massages the user's foot soles by the protrusions. Thus, the user will feel comfortable even after a long time of exercise.
