Abstract: A basket system for a shale shaker includes a front, solids discharge end and a rear, feed end, spaced apart by opposed first and second sides. The feed end includes a fluid retaining wall. A first screen deck frame is mounted or mountable to the basket for supporting a screening surface and forming a first screen deck in use. The screening surface of the first screen deck has a lower, feed receiving end that is proximal to the fluid retaining wall at the rear end of the basket and a distal, higher, solids discharge end at the front end of the basket. The basket further includes at least one mounting for mounting at least one additional screen deck frame above or below the first screen deck frame.

Abstract: A sifter insert for use in a sifting device has an insert frame and a screening media affixed thereto. An insert frame air channel is located within the insert frame. The sifter insert is sized to be received in a sifter box frame of an associated sifter box. The sifter box frame has a box frame air channel in fluid communication with the insert box frame channel of the received sifter insert. The passage of air through the box frame air channel and the insert frame air channel may cool the sifter box and the insert frame, and may cool the screening media and the material being sifted thereon. Channel holes in the insert frame may direct air from the insert frame air channel to the screening surface of the screening media.

Abstract: A screen medium of a mobile multi-deck screen is tensioned with a tensioner. A tensioning link engages and tensions a screen medium on a side thereof by at least two linear tension rods, when the screen medium side tensioner is installed to the mobile multi-deck screening device. An adjusting member causes for each of the at least two linear tension rods, a linear movement tensioning by the tensioning link the side of the screen medium above the two linear tension rods. A retractor disengages the tensioning link responsively to untightening the at least two tensioning rods. A screen deck, a screen and a mobile multi-deck screening device are also disclosed as well as a method for replacing a screen medium using the tensioner.

Abstract: A plant product extraction apparatus or extractor is provided for separating or grading fine particles from a larger portion of material, such as separating trichomes from a stalk or flower of a plant. The apparatus imparts a plurality modes or patterns of oscillations and vibrations to a particle separator or sieve that holds the plant matter. A motor drives a back and forth motion to a support platform supporting a sieve. The sieve is constrained by a retention tray that is supported by the support platform. One or more vibratory motors provide rapid shaking vibration through the retention tray to the sieve. A haptic transducer or mechanical agitators may be provided to increase throughput of the apparatus. The various motors and locomotion patterns facilitate the separation of finer plant materials from a larger portion of a plant.

Abstract: A screen system for improving a vibrating shaker apparatus for separating drilling fluid and drill cuttings is described. The screen system comprises a dual screen having a coarse mesh upper screen attached to a finer mesh lower screen with a channel between the two screens. One or both of the screens may be wedge shaped to affect the flow rate of drilling fluid and drill cuttings across the screen. The screen systems can be installed in existing shaker apparatuses using various attachment systems, such as wedge clamping systems, hydraulic or air pressure clamping systems, or hook screen systems.
