    摘要: A drive mechanism for delivery of infusion medium has a coil and an armature moveable toward a forward position, in response to the electromagnetic field produced by activation of the coil. A piston is moveable axially within a piston channel to a forward position, in response to movement of the armature to its forward position. The armature and piston are moved toward a retracted position, when the coil is not energized. In the retracted position of the piston, a piston chamber is formed between the piston and a valve member and is filled with infusion medium. As the piston is moved to its forward position, the piston chamber volume is reduced and pressure within the piston chamber increases to a point where the pressure moves the valve member into an open position through an outlet.

    摘要: There are provided a plunger pump and method of controlling discharge of the pump capable of obtaining a desired compression rate, changing a discharge amount with ease without changing a stroke of the plunger and/or the inner diameter of a sliding hole of the plunger, and discharging a constant amount of fluid with accuracy while preventing the fluid from leaking. A plunger pump 1 has a cylinder 2 having an inlet 8 to suck a fluid and an outlet 10 to discharge the sucked fluid, a continuous hole 6 which is formed inside the cylinder 2 and communicated with the outlet 10, a plunger 4 which is inserted in the continuous hole 6 to be slidable and forms a pump chamber 20 to suck and discharge the fluid with the outlet 10 where the pump chamber 20 is formed between the plunger 4 and the outlet 10, and a fluid suction passage which is formed in the cylinder or the plunger, to suck a fluid into the pump chamber, wherein an opening 19 of the fluid suction passage 12 opened to the pump chamber 20 is opened and closed by the plunger 4 sliding inside the continuous hole 6.

The actuator further includes a magnet at one axial-direction end relative to the coil, which generates a fixed magnetic field in the two gaps, directed either from the intermediate yoke part toward the first yoke part or from the first yoke part toward the intermediate yoke part, and an armature disposed that is movable in the axial direction in the first gap and the second gap.

    摘要: A reciprocating fluid pump includes a drive section and a pump section. The drive section has a pair of coils which may be energized to cause displacement of a reciprocating assembly. Each coil is a reluctance gap arrangement in which a magnetic circuit is interrupted by a gap towards which an armature of the reciprocating assembly is drawn when energizing current is applied to the coil. The reciprocating assembly includes an element which is extended into and retracted from a pump chamber during its reciprocating motion, causing fluid to be drawn into and expelled from the pump chamber. The pump is particularly well suited for use in cyclic pumping applications, such as internal combustion engine fuel injection. Cycle times in such applications may be reduced by appropriate control of the current waveforms applied to the coils.
