    摘要: A reflector illuminating system for reflecting light incident on a reflector to provide a unique lighting effect and which is preferably, although not necessarily exclusively used, in connection with automotive vehicles. The reflector illuminating lighting system comprises an elongate frame with a light disposed in the frame for generating light to be incident upon a reflector normally provided on the vehicle, or other reflector which may be mounted on the vehicle for decorative purposes. The frame is mounted on the vehicle, or other supporting structure, in a position adjacent to an edge of the reflector so that generated light will be incident on the reflector at a substantial angle to the perpendicular surface of the reflector. The lighting system is provided with a wiring arrangement for connection to a source of electrical power. When used on a vehicle, the lighting system is connected to the electrical circuit of the vehicle itself.

    摘要: A box-type planar light-source device has incorporated therein a linear light source and is provided with a reflecting surface and a multi-prism sheet. The reflecting surface has such function that a major portion of a light reflected by the reflecting surface is obliquely incident upon the multi-prism sheet. The multi-prism sheet has its inner surface formed with a group of prisms so arranged as to extend in parallel relation to the light source and having such function that the light incident directly or obliquely in reflection outgoes in concentration toward a predetermined direction. Accordingly, so as to eliminate portion by the fact that the light outgoing at an angle separated from the normal direction converges at the dark portion. A dark-portion removing sheet for eliminating a dark portion at a location immediately above the light source is arranged on the side of the front face of the multi-prism sheet. An illumination apparatus can satisfactorily exhibit its optical performance by incorporation of the planar light-source device as illumination apparatuses of various display devices. The display devices include an internal-illumination type display device, a liquid-crystal display device, a display device mounted to an automatic vending machine, an observation device for a film, or an illumination apparatus mounted to a wall surface of a building.

    摘要: A light-reflecting arrangement includes a stack of clean light-reflecting plates which are mounted on a support for gradual advancement, one after the other, into an operative position in which the respective light-reflecting plate replaces the previous one which may have become soiled while dwelling in its operating position, so that a relatively clean plate will be exposed in the operative position at all times to act as a reflector for oncoming traffic. The light-reflecting plates which have been replaced descend by gravity either to form another stack of used light-reflecting plates, or to be collected in a receptacle. The stack of the light-reflecting plates may be advanced by a pusher or by a threaded shaft cooperating with a threaded bore of the respective light-reflecting plate. The pusher may be advanced or the threaded shaft may be rotated by a spring-energized or a battery-energized motor, or by a drive which is energized by ambient pressure or temperature fluctuations.

    摘要: The invention relates to an oblong sign board casing comprising a reflector sheet provided with parallel embossings extending in planes substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis. The profiled reflector sheet is curved about 90.degree. round a longitudinal axis, whereby a self-supporting construction is obtained. This construction renders it possible to provide the front plate with a flange and a sharp edge at the bottom. The embossings cause an effective diffusion of the light, also towards the bottom face.
