Abstract:
There is provided a control apparatus comprising: a receiving unit that, from one of a first communications terminal and a second communications terminal, each of the communications terminals being capable of sending and receiving images and messages and of displaying messages and images, receives a notification indicating detection of an outside party who is not a communicant with either of the communications terminals; and a control unit that, when the receiving unit does not receive the notification from the first communications terminal, causes the first communications terminal to display a captured image sent by the second communications terminal, and when the receiving unit receives the notification from the first communications terminal, causes the first communications terminal to display a substitute image for display in place of the captured image.
Abstract:
A virtual representation includes objects that represent participants (i.e., users) in a teleconference. Volume of sound data in the teleconference is controlled according to how the users change location and relative orientation of their objects in the virtual representation.
Abstract:
A system for carrying out voice interception for Video Phone (VP) services in a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) network. The system receives an interception request to perform interception on a target and interception related information from a Law Enforcement Agency (LEA), processes communication traffic of the intercept target to obtain audio data from the communication traffic, converts the audio data into a format that is supported by the LEA, and delivers the audio data to the LEA.
Abstract:
Ring-back content is provided to a mobile video caller willing to call a recipient in a process in which: the ring-back content is stored, a first communication leg is established between an intermediate network element and the mobile video caller, a second communication leg is established between the intermediate network element and the recipient, and the delivery of the ring-back content to the mobile video caller is started between the initiating of the mobile video call and answering to the call by the recipient. The delivery of the ring-back content may be lead by an early connect message to delay charging. On establishing the second communication leg, no connect message is passed to the caller, but the charging of the mobile video call is started.
Abstract:
A system, method and computer program product having instructions stored thereon for automatically data streaming a multiparty conference session comprises receiving an Internet-based interface at a session moderator, said Internet-based interface configured for said session moderator to enter a request for data streaming a multiparty conference session, automatically establishing a data stream of said conferencing session, without any human intervention, wherein establishing said automated data stream includes: recording the multiparty conference session, and data streaming the multiparty conference session to listen-only participants thereby enabling listen-only participants to connect to the multiparty conference session without using additional conference ports and/or conference resources.
Abstract:
A system and method for automatically data streaming a multiparty conference. The system allows a session moderator or other guests to request data streaming of the multiparty. The data-stream-initiation request is received from an Internet-based interface. Upon receiving the request, the conferencing system automatically establishes data streams of audio and visual data of the conference and transmits the data stream to call participants. The conferencing system is also configured to record the conference call and transcode the call for subsequent playback.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for displaying visual content to a user corresponding to sound captured at a user terminal are disclosed. After receiving over a network from a user terminal a request to convert sound into a visual content representing the sound, wherein the sound comprises one or more words, a translation server may retrieve text corresponding to the one or more words from a database. The translation server may then convert the text into one or more content phrases, wherein the content phrases represent the meaning of the one or more words, and convert each of the one or more content phrases into a new language. Finally, the translation server may send visual content to the user terminal representing the new language.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a system for implementing multimedia ring back tone service, which includes a communication network, an MRBT platform storing multimedia ring back tones in the communication network and a VIG. The MRBT platform is respectively connected to the Service Switch Center dominating the terminal and an MGW in the communication network through the VIG; when a calling terminal initiates a call through the Service Switch Center, the VIG establishes a communication link from the terminal to the MRBT platform through the MGW and the VIG before the call is put through; and MRBT platform plays multimedia ring back tones for the calling terminal via the established communication link. The present invention also provides a method for implementing multimedia ring back tone service. The system and the method provided in the present invention can implement multimedia ring back tone service in 3G communication networks.
Abstract:
A pre-routing software system for treating incoming network events according to event importance prior to agent-level routing in a communication center network is disclosed. The system includes at least one network interface for receiving incoming events, a parsing engine for parsing electronic messages and documents, at least one communication interface for enabling communication with connected routing, queuing, and automated response systems, and a determination module for determining pre-treatment of received events. In preferred application, incoming network events are parsed according to a rules set and determination of pre-treatment is made for each event according to the rules set. In some embodiments, the system is used in conjunction with one or more virtual, priority-based queuing systems.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for providing continuous presence video layout in a cascading video conference, i.e., a video conference that is conducted over more than one MCU. A cascading continuous presence composition controller (CCCC) selects which endpoints from among all of the endpoints participating in the conference should be displayed in the layout, regardless of which MCU the endpoints are associated with. The CCCC can be resident on one of the MCUs, resident on a cascading conference server, or can be distributed among all of the MCUs involved in a cascading conference.
