When a silver halide photosensitive material is used as a photosensitive material, light sensitivity is high in the order of red, green and blue. The number of aligned rows of red light-emitting elements is greater than those of aligned rows of other colors for reducing the light-emitting intensity on a time-average basis for every red light-emitting element. The area of red light-emitting elements and the area of green and blue light-emitting elements are simultaneously and independently passive-matrix driven by corresponding driving circuits. Of each light-emitting element, the driving duty improves and the peak light-emitting intensity reduces.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for printing multiple simultaneous images onto a photosensitive media comprises the steps of imaging light from a light source through an optics assembly (75) to a polarization beamsplitter (80). The polarization beamsplitter (80) produces light having a first polarized state and light having a second polarized state. The first polarized light is directed to a first spatial light modulator (90). The first spatial light modulator is addressed with a first signal to create a first modulated light beam, which is imaged through a print lens assembly onto the photosensitive media. A second polarized light is directed to a second spatial light modulator (95). The second spatial light modulator is addressed with a second signal to create a second modulated light beam, which is imaged through the print lens onto the photosensitive media. The first modulated light beam and the second modulated light beam create at least two simultaneous images on the photosensitive media.

The color printer further comprises control means for controlling the ink jet heads by discharging only one colored ink through the nozzle holes of any one of the three trains to make a print on the recording sheet as the first main scanning, then discharging ink through the nozzle holes of said train and another train adjacent to said train of nozzle holes to make a print as the scanned main scanning while they are shifted by one pitch in the auxiliary scanning direction, and thereafter discharging ink through the nozzle holes of the three trains to make a print as the next main scanning while they are shifted by one pitch in the auxiliary scanning direction, so as to make a print which is regular in sequence of superimposition of colors.

    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus capable of controlling the duration of voltages applied to line exposure elements in proportion to the gray levels of a color to produce a gentle gradation of the color. This is achieved in the present invention by converting exposure data into compensated exposure data in which the duration of the exposure operation is compensated according to predetermined characteristics. The duration of the exposure operation of the exposure device is then controlled according to the compensated exposure data to thereby produce a smooth, high quality gradation of color.

A binary printhead having M recording elements per inch is used to record each mainscan line (1/M lines per inch) of pixels using two sublines for recording each mainscan line. In a first embodiment, pixels to be developed in a first color are recorded during a first subline, and during a second subline of pixels to be developed in a second color are recorded using a different exposure duration from that used in recording the first subline of pixels. In a second embodiment, pixels of the first and second colors are recorded during a first subline and supplementary exposure is provided for completing the recording of pixels of the second color during a second subline of recording.

The image-exposure section includes an exposure device for dividing the image information into a plurality of lines and exposing the photosensitive material with switching exposing colors corresponding to the plurality of color data by switching over a plurality of color filters, and a moving device for moving the exposure device and the photosensitive material relative to each other in a direction perpendicular to the lines. The image-exposure section further includes an exposure control unit for controlling operations of the exposure device and the moving device. The control unit effects a moving exposure control for exposing the photosensitive material by switching over the exposing colors while the photosensitive material and the exposure means are being moved relative to each other.

    摘要: The essential feature of the color image recording apparatus of the present invention is that it uses a laser light source capable of simultaneous emission of laser beams associated with exposure to R, G and B light. The apparatus also uses a light deflector and a device for selectively reflecting or transmitting said laser beams, for example, a rotating polygonal mirror in which at least one of the reflecting faces has a different spectral characteristic of reflection than other faces or a light deflector and at least one color filter that operates in synchronism with the light deflector.In the present invention, a laser beam having a wavelength associated with exposure to light either one or R, G and B colors is separated from the light beams emitted from the laser light source, and the recording material is exposed to successive beams of different colors, one for each scanning line, to insure exposure for a full-color image by three scanning lines. Since this obviates the need for providing the reflecting mirror and the dichroic mirrors that have been necessary to align the optical axes of R, G and B laser beams in the prior art color image recording apparatuses, it becomes possible to construct a compact and inexpensive color image recording apparatus.
