摘要： A vehicle transmission shifter in which a locking member is movable along aligned and opposite directions to a locked or unlocked position. A mechanical advantage means, preferably a toggle joint, is connected to one end of the locking member for either restraining or moving the locking member in response to the electromagnetic attracting and repelling force. One of the magnetic attracting or retracting forces causes the locking member to move and be held in the locked position and the other of the magnetic attracting or retracting force causing the locking member to be moved to an unlocked position.

摘要： A locking arrangement on a selector lever for a motor vehicle transmission has an electromagnetic clutch which receives current from a circuit. This clutch consists of a magnetic clamp and of a check plate which can be moved about a pivot axis. When supplied with current, the check plate, when the clutch is closed, adheres to the magnetic clamp and blocks a locking pin. The locking pin is arranged transversely with respect to the selector lever and engages in an indentation of a connecting link, whereby a swivelling of the selector lever is prevented. This arrangement is small, light weight, can be integrated completely into the selector lever and can be released when a preload is exercised on the locking arrangement.

摘要： A lever assembly includes a lever pivotally coupled to a housing for movement in a fore-and-aft direction and in a transverse direction. A guide plate is fixed to an end of the housing and has a guide slot which receives the lever. The guide slot has a fore-and-aft extending main slot. The guide slot also has first, second and third fore-and-aft extending sub-slots spaced apart from the main slot. Each of the sub-slots is connected with the main slot by a transverse extending connecting slot. A sector member is pivotally mounted between the housing and the lever. A first magnet is mounted on the lever. A second magnet is mounted on the sector member. Hall effect sensors are mounted on the housing. The sector member, the magnets and the Hall effect sensors cooperate so that signals are generated representing the position of the lever within the guide slot. A lever return spring is biased to urge the lever towards an aft end of the main slot. A transverse return spring is biased to urge the lever towards the sector member. A centering spring is biased to urge the sector member towards a centered position. Detent mechanisms operate to releasably maintain the lever within the sub-slots.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a shift lever device for an automatic transmission for use in a vehicle such as an automobile, etc. A female connector is disposed in a position inwardly away from the outer periphery of a shift lever and laid on an axially-extending portion thereof. In addition, the female connector is held in position by a connector support disposed below the female connector. A knob is inserted into and fixed to one end of the shift lever. A male connector and a switch are fixed to an intermediate portion of the knob. When the knob is inserted into the shift lever, the male connector is disposed in such a way as to be fitted into the female connector. It is therefore possible to form the knob so as to cover the one end of the shift lever on a small scale.

These transmissions are operable by shift levers located on opposite sides of the driver's seat when the lawn mower is used as the riding type, and by control levers extending rearwardly of the driver's seat when the lawn mower is used as the walking operator type.

One of the locking member and the projection member is rigidly connected to a selector of an automatic power transmission and the other is rigidly secured to a stationary member in the vehicular body. The locking member is normally and resiliently biased toward locking direction for establishing locking engagement with the projection member. The locking member is associated with a lock release actuator which is electrically operable and active for a predetermined period only when a predetermined safety condition is established.

The force threshold detector comprises a resiliently deformable, or elastic, bar having a head portion, which is fixed with respect to the knob, and a foot portion which is fixed against deflection in a female element that is itself fixed to the downstream part of the lever.
