摘要: A hood stay device for a vehicle includes a housing, support, and latch. A proximal end of the housing is pivotably coupled to the hood or vehicle body. An inner end of the support is within the housing. The support extends through a distal end of the housing to an outer end of the support that is pivotably coupled to the other one of the hood or vehicle body. The support is slidable relative to the housing along an axis and includes teeth arranged in a rack along the axis. The latch is coupled to the housing and movable between locked and unlocked positions relative thereto. When in the locked position, the latch engages the teeth to inhibit movement of the support member along the axis. When in the unlocked position, the latch is apart from the teeth to permit movement of the support along the axis.

摘要: A manually operable ratchet mechanism includes a pinion assembly comprised of a handle connected to a shaft. The handle and shaft are mounted on a housing to allow the shaft to be rotated as a consequence of a user manually rotating the handle. The shaft carries a pinion configured to engage a toothed rack to incrementally move the rack in discrete steps relative to the housing. Additionally, a rotatable detent member is provided which rotates with the shaft as the handle is rotated. The rotatable detent member cooperates with a fixed detent member on the housing to define discrete detent positions which provide discrete step tactile feedback to the user. The handle is mounted for (1) axial rotation with respect to the shaft axis and additionally for (2) pivotal movement between locked and unlocked positions around a pivot axis oriented substantially perpendicular to the shaft axis. In the unlocked position, the shaft and rotatable detent member can rotate relative to the housing as the handle is turned. In the locked position, the rotatable detent member is forced into firm engagement with the fixed detent member to prevent axial rotation of the shaft.

摘要: A man-powered braking apparatus which uses rocking motion to switch over between the braking state and the releasing state, assures smooth operation, and minimizes the reduction in braking force when the braking lever is returned. When the force to the braking lever 20 is removed, the braking state in which the pawl member 40 is engaged with the ratchet plate 12 is maintained. When the force is removed, the power transmission pin 25 is moved, being kept fitted into the cam groove 52 in the transmission link member 50, and is shifted from the force transmission cam groove 53 to the release holding cam groove 54, the transmission link member 50 being turned to the releasing position, and the pawl member 40 is brought into the state in which it is energized in the direction for being disengaged from the ratchet plate 12 while the braking state being maintained. Then, when a force is once applied to the braking lever 20 for releasing the brake, the pawl member 40 is disengaged from the teeth 12a of said ratchet plate 12; and then when the force is removed, the braking lever 20 and the output link member 30 are turned in the brake releasing direction for releasing the brake.

摘要: A locking arrangement on a selector lever for a motor vehicle transmission has an electromagnetic clutch which receives current from a circuit. This clutch consists of a magnetic clamp and of a check plate which can be moved about a pivot axis. When supplied with current, the check plate, when the clutch is closed, adheres to the magnetic clamp and blocks a locking pin. The locking pin is arranged transversely with respect to the selector lever and engages in an indentation of a connecting link, whereby a swivelling of the selector lever is prevented. This arrangement is small, light weight, can be integrated completely into the selector lever and can be released when a preload is exercised on the locking arrangement.

摘要: A multi-position ratchet mechanism for holding a surgical retractor blade which permits a retractor blade to be rotated into the wound and retracted at the same time to duplicate the natural "toe-in" method of retraction achieved with the hand. The ratchet mechanism includes a ratchet holder to which is pivotally attached a ratchet pivot housing. The retractor blade is mounted in an opening projecting through ratchet pivot housing and held in position by a retractor pawl attached to the ratchet pivot housing. The ratchet pivot housing also has a curved ratchet which depends into a cooperating slot in the ratchet holder and engages a ratchet release bar which is mounted on the ratchet holder and spring biased into the ratchet slot. One end of ratchet release bar is positioned under an actuating surface of the retractor pawl. The application of pressure on the actuating surface will release both ratchets to allow adjustment of the retractor blade.

摘要: In a vehicle park lock mechanism having a rotatable lock arm (5) for locking a gear (3) which is fixedly mounted on a transmission shaft (2), a pawl device integral with the lock arm is comprised of first and second locking pawls (6F, 6R) which are operable to engage the gear so as to prevent forward and backward directional rotations of the gear. The first and second pawls are arranged such that they may project into one and another toothe spaces (3b) of the gear which are spaced circumferentially of the gear with at least one tooth space therebetween. Gear having a relatively large pressure angle such as a transmission gear may satisfactorily be used as the gear for the lock mechanism.

摘要: A hand lever in particular for actuating a butterfly valve or the like in pipelines includes an outer lever portion which encases an inner lever portion and is movable in longitudinal direction thereof relative to the latter. At its forward end, the inner lever portion is fixedly connected with an element, such as an operating shaft which is operatively connected to the valve. The outer lever portion is provided with projections which are engagable in a stationary toothed wheel supported by the shaft. The movement of the outer lever portion for engaging in or disengaging the projection from the toothed wheel is obtained by a control grip which is swingably mounted to the inner lever portion and acts on the outer lever portion via a nose.
