摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing a polyolefin using a supported hybrid metallocene catalyst. According to the present disclosure, a polyolefin having a narrow molecular weight distribution can be prepared very effectively by introducing a cocatalyst in an optimum conent in the presence of a supported hybrid metallocene catalyst containing two or more metallocene compounds having a specific chemical structure. The polyolefin prepared according to the present disclosure exhibits excellent uniformity in chlorine distribution in polyolefin during chlorination, thereby significantly improving elongation of the chlorinated polyolefin, compatibility with PVC and impact reinforcing performance. Thus, it exhibits excellent chemical resistance, weather resistance, flame retardancy, processability and impact strength reinforcing effect, and can be suitably applied as an impact reinforcing agent for PVC pipes and window profiles.

摘要: Provided herein are polyethylene compositions with broad orthogonal composition distribution. The polyethylene compositions may comprise at least 65 wt % ethylene-derived units and from 0 to 35 wt % of C3 to C12 olefin comonomer-derived units, and furthermore may exhibit a reversed comonomer index (RCI,m) of 100 kg/mol or greater, a Tw1-Tw2 value of from −16 to −38° C., and an Mw1/Mw2 value of at least 0.9, such as 0.9 to 4. Also provided are processes for making the polyethylene compositions, as well as films made from the polyethylene compositions. Such films may feature superior film stiffness for a given polyethylene composition density, and accordingly such films in some embodiments have average MD/TD modulus and density satisfying the following equation: Avg. Modulus≥1.2*(C1*Density−C2), where C1 and C2 are constants, such as C1=2,065,292 and C2=1,872,345.

These polymers have low densities, high molecular weights, and broad molecular weight distributions, as well as having the majority of the long chain branches in the lower molecular weight component of the polymer, and the majority of the short chain branches in the higher molecular weight component of the polymer. Films produced from these polymers have improved impact and puncture resistance.

摘要: An olefin polymer capable of simultaneously satisfying excellent drop impact strength and transparency, a preparation method of the same, and a film using the same, can be provided. In an embodiment, an olefin polymer comprises a plurality of polymer chains, and satisfies the following conditions: i) each polymer chain of the plurality having an average number of short chain branches (SCBs) per 1000 carbon atoms of 20/1000C or more, wherein an SCB has C2 to C7 carbon atoms, ii) a molded film of the olefin polymer having a drop impact strength of 1500 g to 2400 g as measured in accordance with ASTM D1709A, wherein the molded film having a thickness of 100 μm, and iii) a molded film of the olefin polymer having a haze is 10% to 30% as measured in accordance with ASTM D1003, wherein the molded film having a thickness of 0.05 mm.

摘要: The present invention relates to an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and, more particularly, to an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer that exhibits excellent environmental stress crack resistance by appropriately controlling the ratio of crystal structure domain and amorphous domain, and the like. The ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer comprises an ethylene repeating unit and an alpha-olefin repeating unit, and has a crystal structure including a crystalline domain containing lamellar crystals and an amorphous domain containing a tie molecule that mediates bonding between the lamellar crystals. The lamellar crystal thickness (dc) of the ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer as calculated from the result of Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) analysis is between 12.0 and 16.0 nm, the amorphous domain thickness (da) is between 4.0 and 5.3 nm, and the thickness ratio da/dc is between 0.3 and 0.4.
