摘要: A system and method operating a convertible information handling system comprising a processor executing code instructions for a modular dynamic wireless power control system for detecting an active wireless link operating via an antenna system and a first orientation mode, wherein the transmission power of the antenna system is limited to a regulatory safety maximum depending on orientation, the processor determining the permitted regulatory safety maximum transmission power for the first orientation mode for the information handling system and the processor determining relative transmission activity levels for the information handling system relative to the first active wireless link and the second active wireless link, including a first wireless link data rate transmission level for the first antenna system and a second wireless link data rate transmission level for the second antenna system. The modular dynamic wireless power control system instructing the wireless interface adapter controller to increase transmission power to the first antenna and decrease transmission power to the second antenna relative to the regulatory safety maximum power level when the first wireless link data rate transmission level is greater than the second wireless link data rate transmission level.

摘要: Methods and apparatus that reduce network management overhead required for the operation of wireless femtocells. In one aspect of the invention, a central network entity governs the simultaneous operation of several femtocells by specifying modes of operation, and operational parameters for one or more of the femtocells. In one embodiment, at least one of the specified modes of operation directs a femtocell to operate in a substantially autonomous manner within the network-defined operational parameters. The network-defined constraints are provided to the femtocell for example, responsive to a successful registration attempt.

摘要: A wireless communication system includes a first communication device which arranges a frequency signal into which a single carrier signal is converted by time-to-frequency conversion in subcarriers and wirelessly transmits a resultant signal and a second communication device which receives the signal wirelessly transmitted by the first communication device. The wireless communication system includes a selection unit which calculates, for each determined selection candidate as a combination of a predetermined segment size and information indicating predetermined average transmission power, a value indicating reception quality in the second communication device upon transmission by the first communication device by using an arrangement using the predetermined segment size, and the predetermined average transmission power, and which selects a selection candidate to be used upon transmission by the first communication device from among the selection candidates based on the calculated value indicating the reception quality. Therefore, an excellent transmission efficiency is obtained.

摘要: Transmission power control methods and devices are described. In a transmission power control method, a specific absorption rate (SAR) is calculated based on a transmission power of the communication device and a proximity distance of the communication device with an external object. A time average specific absorption rate can be calculated based on the SAR. A power absorption budget value can be calculated based on the time average specific absorption rate and a time average specific absorption rate threshold value. Further, the transmission power of the communication device can be adjusted based on the power absorption budget value.

摘要: A radio communication apparatus according to one embodiment is mounted on a vehicle (V), configured to perform vehicle-to-vehicle communication with another vehicle by using a predetermined frequency band. The radio communication apparatus comprises a controller configured to control a transmission power and/or a transmission directivity in the vehicle-to-vehicle communication to restrain generation of interference in the predetermined frequency band, based on a congestion situation parameter regarding a congestion situation of a road (R) on which the vehicle travels.

摘要: Provided herein are apparatus and methods for radio frequency (RF) signal boosters. In certain implementations, a multi-band signal booster is provided for boosting the uplink and downlink channels of at least a first frequency band and a second frequency band. In certain configurations, the downlink channels of the first and second channels are adjacent, and the signal booster includes a first amplification path for boosting the uplink channel of the first frequency band, a second amplification path for boosting the uplink channel of the second frequency band, and a third amplification path for boosting both downlink channels of the first and second frequency bands.
