摘要: A method for controlling an efficiency and/or a wet/dry transition area of a condensing furnace heat exchanger section. A temperature can be sensed in an air stream entering the heat exchanger section, to sense an incoming air temperature of the air stream entering the heat exchanger section. A relationship can be established between the incoming air temperature and an air/fuel mixture to be supplied to a burner. The air/fuel mixture can be adjusted to enhance the efficiency and/or to minimize or reduce unwanted condensation within the heat exchanger section.

摘要: A device for reducing ash adhesion in a boiler, includes: a calculator (9) which, in the case of mixing one or more types of solid fuels, calculates and determines the mixing ratio of the solid fuels so that the resultant solid fuel mixture has a slag viscosity not lower than a reference value at a predetermined atmospheric temperature; and fuel supply amount regulators (3a, 3b) which regulate the amount of the solid fuels to be supplied to the boiler based on the mixing ratio as described above. By using this device, ash adhesion in a boiler can be easily and accurately predicted and, therefore, ash adhesion can be reduced even in the case of using various types of solid fuels including a low-grade coal as fuel.

摘要: A recycling furnace and method are provided for processing potentially explosive precious metal-containing materials having organic fractions that combust with great energy, the furnace including a switching facility for alternating operation of a burning-off chamber of the furnace between: (A) pyrolysis or carbonization under protective furnace gas in an atmosphere comprising maximally 6 wt-% oxygen, and (B) oxidative combustion of the organic fractions including carbon. The furnace has indirect heating and a control that determines the end of the pyrolysis or carbonization by a sensor and controls the switching facility to supply air or oxygen to the interior of the furnace. Steps (A) and (B) are carried out sequentially in the furnace chamber, wherein neither the batch is changed, nor the furnace is opened. After the end of step (A) is determined, step (B) proceeds right after the pyrolysis or carbonization by supplying air or oxygen. A dosing of liquid or liquefied substances during the pyrolysis is controlled by at least one parameter of post-combustion. Thermal post-combustion is used for two furnace chambers, one operated for pyrolysis or carbonization and the other operated as a combustion chamber.

摘要: Before start-up of a burner, minimum and maximum actuating positions of an actuating drive are set by setting elements. During control of the actuating drive, an automatic firing mechanism receives from a position transducer position signals dependent on the actuating position of the actuating drive reached during operation. The automatic firing mechanism assigns to the minimum actuating position the position signal measured during the feedback of the minimum actuating position of the actuating drive, and assigns to the maximum actuating position of the actuating drive the position signal measured during the feedback of the maximum actuating position of the actuating drive. Using the position signals assigned to the minimum and maximum actuating positions, corresponding control parameters are determined for activating the minimum and maximum actuating positions, and the control parameters are stored.

摘要: A signal generation system for flame ignition and sensing. The ignition signal generation is adaptive for improving flame ignition while eliminating excess energy usage. High voltage signals for flame sensing may also be provided. If more energy or speed is needed for ignition signal generation, then the flame sensing signal generation portion may be disabled to increase the amount of available energy. Adaptation for ignition signal generation may be guided by the results of flame sensing. The flame sensing voltage may be regulated based on the flame current strength. The flame current may be controlled within an optimum range to reduce rod contamination rate and yet provide reliable flame sensing when the rod contamination built up. The adaptation may be algorithmic-based with the facilitation of a microcontroller. The system may provide the high voltage signals from a low voltage power supply, such as that of 24 VAC.
