    摘要: A fuel feed system which causes liquid fuel to evaporate so as to feed gaseous fuel, provided with an evaporator which includes a heater which heats the liquid fuel to vaporize it and an electric heater which adjusts the temperature of the heater. The heater has a heat conduction surface which supplies heat to the liquid fuel. A difference between the temperature of the heat conduction surface of the heater and the boiling point of the fuel at the evaporator is used as the basis to change the temperature of the heater and adjust the heat flux at the heat conduction surface.

    摘要: A variable venturi-type carburetor comprising a suction piston which has a tip face. A raised wall is formed on the inner wall of the intake passage, which faces the tip face of the suction piston. The raised wall has a substantially straight extending tip edge. The inner wall of the intake passage and the tip edge of the raised wall define a D-shaped air inlet mouth. The connecting portions of the inner wall of the intake passage and the tip edge of the raised wall have an arc shape. The upstream end portion of the tip face of the suction piston and the tip edge of the raised wall define an isosceles triangular air inlet opening therebetween when the amount of air fed into the cylinder of the engine is small.

The carburetor comprises an air bleed control valve device for controlling the flow area of the air bleed passage. The air bleed control valve device comprises a bore formed therein, a push rod slidably inserted into the bore for controlling the flow area of the air bleed passage, and a wax valve actuating the push rod. A cooling water passage is formed in the air bleed control valve device so as to surround the air bleed passage and the wax valve.

    摘要: A floatless variable venturi type carburetor in which the float chamber is substituted by a fuel pressure regulator. The carburetor has, in addition to the ordinary constituents such as variable orifice, fuel metering jet and air bleed, a fuel valve disposed in the fuel passage leading to the fuel metering jet and adapted to be opened and closed in relation to the turning on and off of the engine key switch, and a fuel pressure regulator adapted to regulate the pressure of the fuel introduced to the fuel metering jet through the fuel valve. The fuel pressure regulator has two regulating chambers, one of which being communicated with the inlet side of the fuel valve while the other being in communication with a venturi vacuum pickup port, so that the fuel pressure regulator maintains a constant pressure differential, by the action of a diaphragm separating two regulating chambers, between the fuel pressure at the inlet side of the fuel metering jet and the venturi vacuum. The fuel pressure regulator also is so constructed that its valve mechanism constitutes a part of a fuel return passage to a fuel tank. The carburetor is advantageously incorporated in a feedback system for controlling the air-fuel ratio of the mixture formed in the carburetor, the system having an exhaust gas sensor disposed in the exhaust system of the engine, a control circuit adapted to produce a control signal in response to the output from the exhaust gas sensor, and an actuator adapted to operate in response to the control signal, and means for varying the opening area of the air bleed in response to the operation of the actuator.

    摘要: A variable venturi type carburetor incorporating a changeover valve which conducts the fuel vapor in the float chamber either into the internal passage leading to the suction pipe of the carburetor or into the external passage leading to the canister. The changeover valve is actuated via a rod projecting into the intake passage by a suction piston which is displaced according to the amount of air drawn into the engine and which abuttingly contacts the rod. With this invention, an electromagnetic valve employed in the conventional carburetor can be obviated and the structure of the carburetor becomes simple and small.

    摘要: A filter adapted for use in a fluid passage and having a novel structure for coupling to the fluid passage. The filter has a general configuration of a bottom-ended cylinder, with the bottom portion formed with a plurality of bores constituting a filtrating screen. The cylinder has an annular joining projection at an end remote from the filtrating screeen, the projection being securely elastically fitted on the outer circumferential surface of a restriction fixed to the fluid passage or on the inner surface of the fluid passage, securely and airtightly coupled to each other. The filter is positioned close to the constriction of the fluid passage, the risk of accumulation of alien matter therebetween being eliminated. Also, the entire cylindrical filter is made from an integral molding of elastic material, there being no likelihood of adverse effect by the fibers that constitute the filter.
