    摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for a fuel bowl to supply liquid fuel to a carburetor. The fuel bowl comprises a float chamber and a fuel inlet cavity which receives a fuel delivery insert. The fuel delivery insert receives a fuel inlet valve and comprises passages to direct incoming fuel to a bottom portion of the float chamber. A float comprises an elongate member rotatably hinged within a float cavity of the fuel delivery insert, such that the float rises according to a quantity of fuel within the float chamber. The fuel inlet valve supplies liquid fuel to the float chamber by way of the passages according to the operation of the float within the float chamber. A ventilation chamber allows air and fuel vapors to exit as liquid fuel enters the float chamber while preventing liquid fuel from entering into the carburetor.

    摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for a fuel bowl to supply liquid fuel to a carburetor. The fuel bowl comprises a float chamber and a fuel inlet cavity which receives a fuel delivery insert. The fuel delivery insert receives a fuel inlet valve and comprises passages to direct incoming fuel to a bottom portion of the float chamber. A float comprises an elongate member rotatably hinged within a float cavity of the fuel delivery insert, such that the float rises according to a quantity of fuel within the float chamber. The lawn mower fuel tank also includes a vent assembly for selectively venting the fuel tank to the atmosphere when the internal combustion engine is running and for precluding evaporation of fuel from the fuel tank into the atmosphere when the engine is not running. Each vent assembly includes a valve member resting on a valve seat and supported for movement in response to vibration of the engine and in such a manner that the valve member will return to its position on the valve seat when the engine is shut off.

    摘要： A variable venturi type carburetor incorporating a changeover valve which conducts the fuel vapor in the float chamber either into the internal passage leading to the suction pipe of the carburetor or into the external passage leading to the canister. The changeover valve is actuated via a rod projecting into the intake passage by a suction piston which is displaced according to the amount of air drawn into the engine and which abuttingly contacts the rod. With this invention, an electromagnetic valve employed in the conventional carburetor can be obviated and the structure of the carburetor becomes simple and small.

    摘要： A fuel metering device, such as a carburetor for a combustion engine, has a fuel bowl or fuel reservoir with a fuel vapor venting apparatus for, at times, venting such fuel vapors from the interior of the fuel reservoir to, for example, associated canister means. A resiliently deflectable valve member carried as by a stem of an associated solenoid assembly serves to open and close related fuel vapor vent passages. When in one of its operating positions, the valve member is effective for opening a vent passage leading to an associated canister and, when in another of its operating positions, the valve member is effective for opening a vent passage leading to a motive fluid induction passage leading to the associated combustion engine.
