摘要: A control logic circuit (C) is provided in each unit such as processors andemories in a multiple processor data processing system. Each control logic circuit (C) is equipped with a priority circuit (P12) which at one input receives the eligible local calls (RQ.sub.i L) of the unit itself and at the other input receives external calls (RQ.sub.k) transmitted by the other units. The control logic circuit (C) enables control by its unit of a transmission but only when its priority circuit (P12) recognizes that unit as having the highest priority among the other units. The logic circuit (C) together with a T circuit (13) selects local calls as a function of the state of occupation of the data lines of the transmission bus.

摘要: Apparatus is disclosed for controlling and monitoring a modular power supply system for supplying power to a data processing system and the like that includes a plurality of power sources allocated among a plurality of power supply subsystems in a predetermined configuration. Each subsystem is interfaced to the control bus of a control unit that includes a microprocessor by an addressable interface unit that controls the power sources in response to control signals from the control unit and that monitors the power sources and the devices powered by such sources and supplies monitor signals to the control unit. Also interfaced to the control bus are an operator's console, a service panel for monitoring and controlling the system for maintenance purposes, a primary power supply that supplies power to the power sources via a separate power bus, and a configuration definition unit comprising a read only memory that stores data defining the system configuration and the parameters of the power sources for use by the control unit. Faults are detected and detail fault information is displayed on the service panel. Because of its modular nature, the system may be readily reconfigured by simply changing modules and the data stored in the configuration definition unit.

摘要: The transmission of signed messages occurs between a transmitter (1) and a receiver (3) connected by a transmission line system (2). The transmitter (1) and the receiver (3) respectively comprise a coding device 7 and a decoding device 11. Means 4 situated at the transmitter supply a signature SG as a function of the message M which is to be transmitted. The message associated with its signature, as well as a common key E, are transmitted by the transmitter towards the receiver after coding by means of an intrinsic key R.sub.1. Upon being received, the message M linked with its signature SG is decoded by means of an intrinsic key R.sub.2 determined at the receiver location in such manner as to establish equality between intrinsic keys R.sub.1 and R.sub.2.

摘要: A data byte element E located at position d in entry i of memory section M.sub.a having reference entry TR is addressed. Memory section M.sub.a is one section of a table in a data processory memory, such that each of the entries in section M.sub.a has a predetermined number (t) of elements E. Signals having values related to the values of i, t and TR of several memory sections are stored in a storage device and read out when the storage device is addressed. A signal related to the value of d is also derived as a result of read-out from the storage device. The signals having values related to the values of i, t, TR and d are combined to derive an addressing signal for element E in memory section M.sub.a of the table of the data processing memory. An address circuit for the data processing memory responds to the addressing signal to addressing element E in memory section M.sub.a.

摘要: The invention relates to a magnetographic printing process, as well as to aachine which enables images in color to be produced on a print carrier. The machine which carries out this process comprises magnetic heads (13-1, . . . , 13-n) excited by pulses emitted by a generator (26) by means of a current calibrating means (27) to produce on the drum (10) magnetized points having different magnetizations, pigment applicator means (40, 42, 44), retouching means (41, 43), and a transfer station (45) where the pigments deposited onto the drum (10) are transferred to a paper strip (21).The electric current calibrating means is connected between the pulse generator and each of the heads so as to allow each of the current pulses emitted by the generator to be adjusted selectively to one of the p predetermined amplitude values and thus to produce on the recording surface a latent magnetic image whose magnetized points exhibit the same magnetic polarity but have different intensities of magnetization valued as J.sub.1, J.sub.2, J.sub.3 . . . J.sub.p, such that J.sub.1 >J.sub.2 >J.sub.3 . . . >J.sub.p, each of the values being associated with each one of the p values. The magnetized points are designed to produce image parts which, on the print carrier, must appear in the same color, all having the same intensity of magnetization.

摘要: The invention relates to a printing process and machine which enables the production of two-color images on a print carrier. The machine which carries out this process consists of two applicators (40,42) placed one after the other to deposit two layers of differently colored pigments onto the magnetic drum (10). The surface of the drum has produced thereon a latent magnetic image whose magnetic points have the same intensity of magnetization, but opposite polarities, the magnetic points intended to produce powder-image parts in one of said colors being opposite to that of the points intended to produce the other parts of said image. A transfer station (44,45) is provided with a magnetic field generator (21) located upstream to the point (45) where the pigments are transferred to the print carrier (20). The magnetic-field generator (21) applies a constant magnetic field to the recording surface in a direction perpendicular to the surface. The amplitude (H) and the direction of the magnetic field serves to reduce the intensity of magnetization of the magnetized points intended to produce on the carrier powder image parts whose color is that of one powdery developer and to increase the intensity of magnetization of the other magnetized points. The sole second developer, which has been deposited onto the points whose magnetizations have been increased, is transferred to the print carrier, while the two developers, which have been deposited onto the points whose magnetizations have been reduced, are transferred to said carrier in superimposed layers.

摘要: The position of a tape loop in a vacuum chamber is capacitively detected. e capacitive detector includes a flexible electrode that is deflected between a pair of walls parallel to a wall of a vacuum chamber in which the loop is formed by differential pressure in the chamber and by the pressure of a vacuum source having a pressure between the two pressures in the vacuum chamber. Between the flexible electrode and a stationary electrode is a fixed, solid dielectric. The wall includes plural apertures forming separate fluid flow paths. The vacuum source includes a partition with a plurality of apertures forming separate fluid flow paths. The apertures of the wall and partition are aligned and positioned in a direction between opposite ends of the vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber wall is electrically grounded and an electrical insulator is positioned between an end of the flexible electrode adjacent the wall to maintain the flexible electrode electrically insulated from and a different potential from the grounded wall.

摘要: A microprocessor architecture which permits automatic programming of a non-volatile memory included on the same chip as a processing and control unit. The microprocessor includes a permanent memory such as an EPROM which can be electrically written word by word. The microprocessor additionally includes a processing and control unit connected to the permanent memory through two sets of data and address registers. Circuits are also included for distributing memory write voltage in a manner which does not interfere with normal operation of the microprocessor. As a result, the data contents at one memory location can be modified (written) the same time instructions are being read from another memory location. Memory writing can alternatively be effected by a sub-program comprising a sequence of microinstructions, or by a write automaton comprising hard-wired logic circuits.

摘要: The validity of a code, such as an alpha-numeric code, constituted by a series of elements and including a checking key corresponding to the digit value of the first element of the code, is checked by a memory including an addressable dual-input table having a number of rows at least equal to the maximum number of elements of the code and a number of columns at least equal to all the possible numerical values of the code element. Columns and rows of the table are respectively addressed by the numerical value of a code element and by the relative position of the code elements in the code. The location defined by the intersection of the addressed column and row contains an entry for a remainder resulting from division by a given modulus of the numerical value of the code element multiplied by a coefficient assigned to the position. Each element of the code and the corresponding remainder contained in the location of the memory addressed by the code element are read by a processing means. The processing means adds the read remainder to a previous remainder and divides the sum of the addition operation by the modulus to obtain a new remainder. The checking key associated with each code is stored in the first row of the table. The checking key or first remainder are such that the final remainder obtained for the last element of the code is equal to zero when the code is correctly read.
