    摘要: According to at least one aspect of the present disclosure, a centering device includes a body including a first part and a second part connected by a hinge, the hinge structured to enable the first part and the second part to pivot relatively each other about the hinge to form a center channel extending through the body and defining a center axis. The body further includes a clasp, structured to reversibly hold the first part adjacent the second part in an assembled state, and a plurality of members extending radially from the body where, in the assembled state, the center channel and the clasp structured to reversibly attach to a body passing through the center channel.

    摘要: A capacitive system for sensing the level of material includes a conductive member electrically connected to ground potential, a probe including a sensing element arranged to establish a capacitance between the sensing element and conductive member which is determined by the level of the material and a shielding element interposed between the conductive member and the sensing element to form an electrically neutral zone therebetween to thereby reduce the effect of a conductive buildup of the material on the probe on the capacitance between the conductive member and the sensing element, and a first circuit electrically connected to the sensing and shielding elements for applying generally the same electrical potential to both the sensing and shielding elements, the first circuit having an output which varies in response to a change in the capacitance between the conductive member and the sensing element. A device for measuring an electrical characteristic of the shielding element which is related to the conductivity of the buildup of material on the probe is electrically connected to a second circuit which, through a feedback loop connected to the first circuit, automatically adjusts the sensitivity of the first circuit in response to changes in the electrical characteristic to compensate for a highly conductive buildup of material on the probe.

    摘要: One aspect of the present disclosure includes a transfer standard apparatus for in situ calibration of measuring devices including a manifold having a first header in fluid communication with a second header via two or more flow lines, the first header and the second header each having ports at each end structured to accept external flow lines, two or more flow meters, each disposed in one of the flow lines such that the flow meters are connected in parallel relative to the first header and second header, and valves disposed in the flow lines adjacent the first header and the second header and operable to selectively isolate each flow meter from the first header and the second header. The transfer standard apparatus may include a mobile platform on which the manifold is mounted, including access to the ports of the first header and second header.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for converting Taxol A, B and C to Taxol primary amine which can then be easily and efficiently converted to Taxol A or docetaxel, thereby significantly increasing the yield of these products from biomass. The method includes the removal of the amide from the side-chain with Schwartz's reagent to form an imine, followed by the hydrolysis of the imine to the primary amine. The primary amine can then be converted to Taxol A or docetaxel. New Taxol imine compounds and primary amine salts have been formed by this process.
