摘要： An annular rotary RF coupler for installation about a vertical support structure, such as the mast of a ship. Two annuli are divided into circumferential increments providing a cellular structure of individual waveguide cross-sections. A lower annulus (stator) remains fixed, the individual waveguide sections therein being fed from a power-divided, equal-phase, feed configuration. The oppositely facing upper annulus (rotor) rotates with respect to the lower one about the common mechanical center of rotation of a mechanically rotating antenna system. Connection to the rotating waveguide sections may be through power combiner/divider means, or individual subarrays may be discretely connected to one or more waveguide sections in the rotating annulus. For power tapering across an antenna array aperture, the waveguide section dimensions in the circumferential direction within the rotating annulus are appropriately tailored. A single enlarged stator cell is employed to accept the residual energy in the power distribution transmission line, eliminating the need for a termination load and the corresponding power loss.

摘要： The device disclosed involves an integration of a plurality of elements which automatically unreel rigid or semi-rigid coaxial cable; straightening the cable; feed a predetermined length into a cutting and scoring machine which serves to cut the end of a previously scored piece of coaxial cable and simultaneously scores the next advancing piece. Adjustable features are included to take into account the varying diameters of the coaxial cable, the length of the piece desired to be cut and scored, and the depth of the scoring. As each piece is cut from the continuous supply of coaxial cable, having been previously scored, that piece is forced, by the advancement of the next piece, into an output hopper.

A polyanionic dispersant is used in limited quantities to increase the concentration of particulate material and a gelling grade clay mineral is used as a suspending agent to prevent settling of the dispersed particulate material. A partial dispersion technique is used whereby the amount of dispersant used is limited so that the particulate material is dispersed but not the clay mineral.

摘要： An electrical connector having a zero force insertion upon mating of a first connector member and a second connector member. Each of the connector members contains contacts mounted in bores formed therein. The contacts in one of the connector members extend forwardly from the bores therein. A split insulator member in such connector member forms a pair of actuating plates. A rotatable actuating shaft is disposed between the plates and carries an actuating cam which, when the shaft is rotated, shifts the actuating plates apart to mate the contacting surfaces of the contacts in the respective connector members. A pair of additional actuating cams are rotatably mounted between the actuating plates on opposite sides of the actuating shaft. A gear on the shaft engages gears fixed to the additional cams so that the latter cams will rotate upon rotation of the actuating shaft, thereby providing an evenly distributed actuating force on the actuating plates preventing the plates from skewing against the connector housing. The additional actuating cams are rotatably mounted on polarizing posts which may be selectively mounted in various positions so that the connector member containing the posts may be coupled to only a predetermined mating connector member.

摘要： A low insertion force electrical connector having a pair of connector members each with a plurality of contacts therein. One of the connector members includes a stationary insulator and an activating disc, receiving contacts mounted in axially aligned bores in the two parts. A shell surrounding the activating disc has an arcuate cam surface thereon which cooperates with a roller bearing on the activating disc to cause the activating disc to shift with respect to the axes of the contact bores upon rotation of the shell to cause the contacts of the two connector members to engage. An interlock is formed on the shell for allowing the connector members to be correctly positioned prior to electrically connecting the contacts together. The interlock includes spring detent means for connector retention and for providing an audio and tactile indication of full mating of the connector members.
