摘要: The material slinger includes an upper section with feed hopper suitable for rotatably connecting to a vertically disposed feed chute or tube. Affixed below the feed hopper is a pivotal main body which can be repositioned to alter the angle of the dispensed material. The material is fed from the feed hopper to a funnel shaped hopper in the main body where it is directed onto the curved surface of a high speed rotating throwing belt. The belt, along with the positionable main body, allows the material to be thrown a significant distance and at a wide range of readily changed angles. Also included is an air vent located between the feed hopper and funnel hopper which allows free circulation of air into and or out of the material feed path. The air vent serves as a pressure relief and a vacuum preventing arrangement depending upon the circumstances of material flow.

摘要: The atomizer of the present invention serves for generating free atoms and an atomic cloud by heating a sample for analysis. The device includes a preferably tubular cuvette for receiving the sample, and the cuvette consists either of a basic body of carbon, which is enveloped by a pyrolytic graphite layer, or only of pyrolytic graphite layers. An electric supply unit for Joule heating the cuvette is in contact with the cuvette by contact members. In order to achieve a radial temperature distribution in the cuvette such that the inner wall of the cuvette is at an essentially higher temperature than the outer wall of the cuvette, the contact surfaces of the cuvette and the contact surfaces of the contact members contact each other in such a manner that the electric current applied during operation of the atomizer preferably flows through the inner wall of the cuvette.

摘要: An electrochemical cell having a negative electrode comprising a compound derived from LaNi.sub.5, in which La is optionally substituted by a plateau pressure-increasing element and in which Ni is substituted entirely or partly by a plateau pressure-reducing element, for example, Co and/or Cu, with the object of considerably reducing volume steps and hence crack formation of the intermetallic compound during charging and discharging. Moreover, the corrosion of the intermetallic compound is counteracted by adding small quantities of Al, Cr and/or Si, which metals enhance the formation of a protecting oxide layer.

摘要: In an ink jet printing head which comprises several nozzles (18), each of which having associated with it an essentially oppositely situated pressure chamber (2), there are provided at least two supporting sections (1,7) which are linked in a stack-like manner opposite the nozzles and on which the pressure chambers are distributed in a staggered manner. The jet nozzle ducts (6) which emerge from the pressure chambers on the supporting section (7) remote from the nozzles and which lead to the nozzles are guided between the pressure chambers on the supporting section (1) which is nearer with respect to the nozzles (FIG. 6).According to a method of manufacturing such an ink jet printing head, first the supporting sections (1,7) with the pressure chambers (2) are individually finished after which they are linked in a stack-like manner and provided in a mould with an adapter piece (15) in which the nozzle ducts (6) emerging from the pressure chambers continue into further nozzle ducts (28) leading to the nozzles (18) (FIG. 6).

摘要: There is provided a heating apparatus having a heat pump including a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator arranged in a closed circuit. A heat storage medium is contained in a storage vessel, the condenser or the evaporator being positioned therewithin. A sealed housing is disposed within the storage vessel, the compressor being positioned within the housing and rigidly connected thereto. The condenser or the evaporator is rigidly mounted to the exterior of said housing, the housing and the compressor and the condenser or the evaporator thereby forming a rigid unit. This rigid unit is resiliently mounted in the storage vessel to enable the same to be vibrated in the heat storage medium.
