    摘要： Process for manufacture of plate glass including pouring molten glass onto a bath of molten metal (4) contained in a tank having side wall (1), an inlet wall (2) and an outlet wall (3). The glass is advanced by means to form a glass ribbon (7) and extraction means draw the ribbon in a glass drawing space (II and III). Pairs of baffles (13 and 14) are positioned in the drawing zone between each side edge of the ribbon and the side walls to limit upstream flow of cooler molten metal in a direction towards the inlet wall.A device for manufacture of plate glass including a tank having an inlet wall (2), an outlet wall (3) and side walls (1) for holding a bath of molten metal (4) onto which molten glass is poured by feed means (6). The glass is advanced by advance means (9) in a drawing space to form a ribbon (7). Pairs of baffles (13 and 14) are positioned in the drawing zone to extend between the edges of the ribbon and the side walls to prevent upstream flow of molten metal in a direction towards the inlet wall.

    摘要： A Cartesian coordinate tracing table for entering a program into a memory of an automatically controlled machine. The tabel has guide bars extending in the X and Y directions. Two rotary generators which are responsive to movement of a cursor in the X and Y directions generate electrical signals for transmission to a memory. One rotary pulse generator is mounted on a carriage movable along the guide bar extending in the X direction. The other rotary pulse generator is mounted on a cursor slidable along the guide bar extending in the Y direction which in turn is mounted on the carriage. Each rotary pulse generator includes a rotatable shaft having a driving roller which contacts a guide bar to provide the driving force to the generator.

    摘要： Methods and apparatus for removing particles from sheet materials, particularly plastic materials that are to be laminated to other materials, are disclosed. The sheet is destaticized, wiped and lightly scraped to dislodge particles from the sheet. The dislodged particles are removed from the sheet by suction. Scrapers with single fixed blades and scrapers with multiple movable blades are used to dislodge particles that are embedded in or adhered to the sheet. The process and apparatus are particularly useful for cleaning sheets of plastic material that are used in laminated glazings having stringent optical requirements.
