    摘要: Transport system comprises a guide rail having straight and curved portions, a carriage movable along the rail, first and second roller groups on the carriage, and an auxiliary guide at each curved rail portion, corresponding to the curved portion and having an external wall. The first roller group includes an internal roller on the carriage in permanent contact with an internal guide-rail wall along both straight and curved portions and two external rollers contacting the external guide-rail wall only along the straight portions. The second roller group includes two rollers on the carriage, spaced from the guide rail, and in contact with the external wall of the auxiliary guide when the carriage moves along the curved portions. The internal guide-rail wall has, at each curve, an arched surface facing towards the internal roller of the first roller group.

    摘要: A conveyor for suspended objects has a first rail profile having a first, upper track and a second track arranged below the first track, a conveyor chain having lateral friction roller pressing surfaces to drive the conveyor chain continuously in the first track. Holding adapters for conveyed objects are coupled to the conveyor chain, with the holding adapters being transferred into the first rail profile by an induct switch. A pressing piece arranged on a side of the conveyor chain opposite the drive roller is adjustable between an active and a passive position. The adjustment path of the pressing piece is dimensioned such that in the active position the conveyor chain is in contact with the drive roller and in the passive position the conveyor chain is not in contact with the drive roller, whereby in the active position the drive roller can be driven by the conveyor chain.

    摘要: An order fulfillment system and method includes storing a plurality of inventory items in a warehouse and a plurality of customer orders in a data base, wherein the inventory items make up the customer orders. Some of the orders being a single item order having only one inventory item assigned to that order and other of the orders being multiple item orders having multiple inventory items assigned to that order. Inventory items withdrawn from the warehouse are identified with an identifier and the identity of each withdrawn inventory item applied to the data base and matched item with a customer order. Inventory items are combined together that make up an order with a sortation system. The sortation system has an induct subsystem and the induction subsystem has an input. Inventory items are transported from the warehouse to the induction subsystem input with a transportation system. Inventory items assigned to multiple-item orders are forwarded to the sortation system with the induct subsystem responsive to the data base. Inventory items assigned to single item orders are forwarded to a packing station bypassing the sortation system responsive to the data base.
