Abstract: A suction oil filter for a transmission or combustion engine including an oil filter housing made of plastic and having at least one suction channel that can be connected to a suction side of a suction pump and at least one return channel feeding into the suction channel for a pressurized oil flow returned by the suction pump. The return channel is provided with at least one nozzle in the region of the opening thereof into the suction channel, as well as at least one pressurized oil supply pipe which is linked to the return channel and can be connected to a pressure side of the suction pump, and which is connected to the oil filter housing via at least one contour connection.

Abstract: A device and method for establishing retrograde blood flow during recanalization of a vessel having a targeted blockage. While in a collapsed state an occluding component is introduced distally intravascularly traversing the targeted blockage to its distal side. Then, the occluding component transitions to an expanded state having an enlarged diameter forming a seal with an internal wall of the vessel prohibiting anterograde blood flow beyond the expanded occluding component. Retrograde blood flow is thereby established in a region of the vessel bound at one end by the occluding component and at an opposite end by the targeted blockage by dispensing a flushing fluid into the region of the vessel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for machining a rack and to a rack (1) machined according to said method, for example a steering rack. In said method, the stress pattern that is present after hardening and/or straightening the rack and that has a chaotic internal stress distribution of tensile and compressive stresses is converted into a stress pattern that optimizes the strength and the use of the material and also the diameter of the rack, such that, without altering the structure, at least the region of the gear teeth (2) is pre-stressed, in a functionally combined series of steps of a machining pass, with a deliberately introduced internal compressive stress without tensile stress and with a predominantly uniform stress distribution or stress plane.

Abstract: An implantable valve assembly including a drainage catheter having a central lumen transitioning into a plurality of distinct branch lumen made of a shape memory material. A bioabsorbable dip coating secures the distal end of the plural distinct branch lumen together in physical contact with one another. Each branch lumen has an outer perimeter comprising at least one of a first outer surface section and a second outer surface section. In a secured state with the plural distinct branch lumen held together by the dip coating fluid is prohibited from passing through the holes defined in the first outer surface section. Bioabsorbable blocking members disposed about the outer perimeter of the assembled branch lumen mask holes defined in the second outer surface section prohibiting fluid from entering therein. In a time staggered fashion, the bioabsorbable elements absorb exposing new holes through which the fluid drains.
