摘要: Disclosed are a case hardened steel which is suitable as a material for producing mechanical structural parts having high rotating bending fatigue strength and impact fatigue strength at a relatively low cost, and a method of producing the same. The case hardening steel has a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Mo, B, Ti, N, and O within a range satisfying a predetermined relationship, and Al in at least a predetermined amount in relation to the B, N, and Ti contents, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein √I≤80 is satisfied, where I represents an area in μm2 of an oxide-based inclusion located at the center of a fish-eye on a fracture surface of the case hardening steel after being subjected to carburizing-quenching and tempering and subsequently to a rotating bending fatigue test.

摘要: To reduce the roughening of a surface of a workpiece whose hardness is increased by heat treatment. In a workpiece such as a guide plate (11), not a surface (11a1) of a groove (11a) that is a desired part for hardening (hardening target position) but a surface (11a2) opposite the surface (11a1) is heat-treated as a surface to be heated that is to be directly heated by an induction heating device. This can inhibit the surface (11a1) of the hardening target position from being roughened by the heat treatment and becoming lower in surface precision than before the heat treatment. Further, according to the present invention, the use of the induction heating device makes it possible to heat-treat only a necessary part.

摘要: Methods for treating steel, along with the resulting treated steel, are provided. The method may comprise: nitriding a carburized Ferrium steel component such that the Ferrium steel component has a surface portion with a nitrogen content that is greater than 0% to about 5% by weight. Nitriding the Ferrium steel component may increase the surface hardness of the Ferrium steel. The surface portion may have a nitrogen content of about 0.05% to about 0.5% by weight.

摘要: A method for producing a steel member includes carburizing the steel member, pearlitizing austenite, and performing quenching. The pearlitizing of the austenite includes performing a first pearlite precipitation treatment of cooling the steel member to a first temperature lower than an austenite transformation start temperature and higher than 680° C. and holding the steel member at the first temperature to pearlitize a part of the austenite formed in the carburizing of the steel member, and performing a second pearlite precipitation treatment of further cooling the steel member to a second temperature equal to or lower than 680° C. and higher than a nose temperature and holding the steel member at the second temperature to pearlitize the austenite retained in the first pearlite precipitation treatment.

摘要: A device for performing strengthening treatment on a tooth root of a gear, a punch driver, a tooth root strengthening treatment device and a punch moving device are provided according to the present application. The device for performing the strengthening treatment on the tooth root of the gear according to the present application can impact a tooth root of a gear to be processed continuously under the action of the punch driver, and has a high efficiency while having a stable effect. The device in the present application is not limited by a complicated geometrical shape and a narrow space of the tooth root. Thus, it may be known that the devices according to the present application can address the issue of a low efficiency and poor effect in a current shot peening technique during performing the strengthening treatment on the tooth root.
