摘要: In one embodiment, an implantable prosthetic valve can comprise an annular frame comprising an inflow end and an outflow end and being radially collapsible and expandable between a radially collapsed configuration and a radially expanded configuration, and a leaflet structure positioned within the frame and secured thereto. The prosthetic valve can further comprise an outer skirt positioned around an outer surface of the frame, the outer skirt comprising pericardial tissue having a fibrous parietal layer defining a first surface of the outer skirt and a serous parietal layer defining a second surface of the outer skirt, the pericardial tissue having been fixed by cross-linking.

摘要: An implantable prosthetic valve can comprise an annular frame comprising an inflow end and an outflow end and being radially collapsible and expandable between a radially collapsed configuration and a radially expanded configuration, the frame defining an axial direction extending from the inflow end to the outflow end, a leaflet structure positioned within the frame and secured thereto, and an outer sealing member positioned around an outer surface of the frame, wherein the outer sealing member comprises a plurality of sealing segments, wherein each sealing segment is coupled to the frame and/or another sealing segment by a tether that pulls a portion of the sealing segment in a circumferential direction when the frame is radially expanded to the expanded configuration.

摘要: A method of implanting a prosthetic heart valve within a patient can comprise inserting a distal end portion of a delivery apparatus and a prosthetic heart valve into the patient and advancing the prosthetic heart valve to a deployment location within the heart of the patient and inflating one or more of a plurality of differently-sized balloons in a balloon-assembly on the distal end portion of the delivery apparatus. The prosthetic heart valve can be mounted on the balloon assembly in a crimped state and the inflating of the one or more of the plurality of differently-sized balloons can expand the prosthetic heart valve from the crimped state to a radially expanded state having a non-cylindrical shape.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame that is radially collapsible and expandable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, and defines a longitudinal axis. A leaflet structure situated within the frame, and a sealing member is disposed around the frame. The sealing member can include a first portion extending circumferentially around a portion of the frame, the first portion being configured to resiliently stretch in a direction along the longitudinal axis between a first state corresponding to the expanded configuration of the frame and a second state corresponding to the collapsed configuration of the frame. The sealing member can include a second portion extending circumferentially around a portion of the frame, the second portion being configured to resiliently stretch in a circumferential direction between a first state corresponding to the collapsed configuration of the frame and a second state corresponding to the expanded configuration of the frame.

摘要: An automated system that can be used for prosthetic heart valve manufacturing or suturing procedures. The system can include a first automated fixture that includes an articulating arm and a target device holder. The system can also include one or more additional automated fixtures, which can be configured as one or more suturing arms that include another articulating arm and a needle holder. The first automated fixture can be configured to rotate a target device held by the holder to allow the one or more additional automated fixtures to perform operations such as form sutures on the target device without intervention of a human operator. The system can include a targeting system configured to provide positioning feedback to the system.

摘要: A valve holder for delivering a prosthetic heart valve to an implant site is in various embodiments configured to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of suture looping or other damage to the prosthetic valve during implantation. The valve holder can be configured to deploy or actuate automatically when performing preparatory steps that are already familiar to practitioners, such as attaching a delivery handle to the valve holder, so that the valve holders will not require additional steps or training to use. Therefore, operation of the valve holders is kept simple, and occurrences of mistakes caused by user error can be minimized or reduced. Valve holders according to different embodiments can be designed to accommodate implantation of prosthetic heart valves from either the inflow end or the outflow end of the native valve annulus.

In a representative embodiment, a support frame configured to be implanted in a heart valve comprises a main body formed by formed by a plurality of inner members forming an inner clover and a plurality of outer members forming an outer clover. The support frame can include gaps located between inner members of the plurality of inner members and outer members of the plurality of outer members. The inner clover can be radially inside the outer clover, and the outer clover can have larger dimensions than the inner clover. The support frames herein can be radially expandable and collapsible.

摘要: Methods for replacing a native heart valve. An anchor comprises coils adapted to support a heart valve prosthesis. The anchor is positioned at a native heart valve. An expansible heart valve prosthesis is delivered into the anchor and expanded inside the coils. This moves at least one coil from a first diameter to a second, larger diameter while securing the anchor and the heart valve prosthesis relative to each other. The heart valve prosthesis comprises a seal on the expansible heart valve prosthesis. Additional apparatus and methods are disclosed.
