摘要： A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a media processor that includes a memory and a controller coupled to the memory. The controller can be programmed to receive media content from a set top box where the set top box is a separate device from the media processor and where the media content includes video content. The controller can also be programmed to receive supplemental content from a mobile communication device where the supplemental content is based on reading of a two dimensional bar code by the mobile communication device, and where the supplemental content comprises an image. The controller can further be programmed to generate augmented content by overlaying the supplemental content with the media content and to provide the augmented content to a display device for presentation.

摘要： Access to programs using network connected digital video recording devices is disclosed. A DVR causes display of a content guide including a unit identification area. When the unit identification area is updated, the content guide also updates to reflect programs available on the currently selected DVR. The content guide of a remotely connected DVR can thus be displayed, from which programs are selected for playback. Playback can be resumed from a point at which a viewer terminated viewing, either at the local or remote location, or from the beginning of the program.

摘要： Malicious attacks by certain devices against a radio access network (RAN) can be detected and mitigated, while allowing communication of priority messages. A security management component (SMC) can determine whether a malicious attack against the RAN is occurring based on a defined baseline that indicates whether a malicious attack is occurring. The defined baseline is determined based on respective characteristics associated with respective devices that are determined based on analysis of information relating to the devices. In response to determining there is a malicious attack, SMC determines whether to block connections of devices to the RAN based on respective priority levels associated with respective messages being communicated by the devices. SMC blocks connections of devices communicating messages associated with priority levels that do not satisfy a defined threshold priority level, while managing communication connections to allow messages satisfying the defined threshold priority level to be communicated via the RAN.
