摘要: A radio frequency (RF) test hat. The RF test hat may comprise: a cylinder having forward and aft ends, end cap, arm and strap assembly, first and second absorber materials, a receiving antenna, and lens. The end cap may couple to the forward end of the cylinder. The arm and strap assembly may hingedly couple to the aft end of the cylinder and may be configured to mount the RF test hat onto a pod or transmitting antenna. The first absorber material may be located within the forward end of the cylinder. The second absorber material may be located near the aft end of the cylinder. The receiving antenna, which may be disposed within the first absorber material, may measure the intensity of a beam of electromagnetic radiation. The lens, which may be located within the middle portion of the cylinder, may spread the beam across a larger surface area of the first absorber material.

摘要: An RF test hat. The RF test hat may comprise: a body having a substantially rectangular portion with open forward and aft ends, an end cap, arm and strap assembly, absorber material, a receiving antenna, lens, and upper and lower mesh screens. The end cap may couple to the open forward end of the body. The arm and strap assembly may hingedly couple to the open aft end of the body. The absorber material may be within the end cap. The receiving antenna may be disposed within the first absorber material and may measure the intensity of a beam of electromagnetic radiation. The lens may be located within the middle portion of the body and may spread the beam across a larger surface area of the absorber material. The upper and lower mesh screens may be disposed between the end cap and lens and may comprise openings that are substantially hexagonal in shape.

摘要: The embodiments are directed to methods of initiating insensitive explosive formulations. The disclosed methods include positioning a donor explosive pellet adjacent to an insensitive acceptor explosive pellet having a plurality of relative percent theoretical maximum density (TMD) zones. The insensitive acceptor explosive pellet is adjacent to an insensitive explosive fill. Upon donor explosive pellet initiation, the donor explosive pellet provides a shock stimulus to the insensitive acceptor explosive pellet, which initiates the insensitive acceptor explosive pellet, causing a detonation wave to be driven through the plurality of relative percent TMD zones and into the insensitive explosive fill.

摘要: A brine electrolysis system for producing pressurized chlorine and hydrogen gases. In its basic configuration, the brine electrolysis system may comprise: two liquid storage tanks for storing two liquid reactants; a tank having two interior spaces separated by a diaphragm for receiving the liquid reactants; two pumps for regulating the flow of the liquid reactants from the liquid storage tanks to the interior spaces of the tank, two open-bottom cylinders for storing and dispensing two gases; an electrolysis stack assembly for converting the liquid reactants into two gases; and two submersible pumps for pumping each liquid reactant into an electrolysis stack assembly. Each open-bottom cylinder may comprise a float sensor for determining the amount of fluid entering its cylindrical space. The system may further comprise controllers for regulating ionic concentrations within the two interior spaces. Dispense lines and valves may be utilized to release the gases.
