    摘要: A single-layer redistribution plate functioning as a space translator between a device under testing (“DUT”) and a testing PCB may comprise a hard ceramic plate. A DUT side of the plate may have pads configured to interface with a device under testing. Both sides of the plate may comprise traces, vias, and pads to fan out the DUT pad pattern so that the plate side opposite the DUT side has spatially translated pads configured to interface with the pads on a testing PCB. Fabricating a redistribution plate may comprise calibrating and aligning, laser milling vias, laser milling trenches and pads, copper plating, grinding and polishing, removing residual copper, and coating the copper surfaces.

    摘要: A hammock shell system may comprise a hammock, a tension line, and a shell. The tension line may be secured to run above the hammock, and along the length of the hammock. The shell may be a tubular piece of fabric with openings at either end, and shaped to generally hang over the tension line, and fit around and envelop the hammock. The shell may drape over the edges of the two sides of the hammock and hang under the bottom of the hammock. When the two openings at the ends of the shell are closed, a layer of dead air is created between the shell and the bottom of the hammock. This dead air space insulates the bottom of the hammock. A shape adjustment system, comprising cinch cords on the inside of the shell, allows for tightening or loosening to adjust the shape and volume of the dead air space trapped between the bottom of the hammock and the shell. Such shape adjustment allows for customizing insulation properties and the temperature of the hammock. The shell may also include insulating materials.

    摘要: A Trailer Loading/Unloading System may comprise a tilting flatbed trailer having one or more push bars configured to move along the surface of the trailer bed push palletized cargo off the trailer, move palletized cargo back and forth on the trailer, and prevent rapid descent or undesirable slipping of palletized cargo. Each of the push bars may be secured between a chain on the left side of the trailer bed and a chain on the right side of the trailer bed. These two chains may loop around a rear guide shaft at the rear of the trail and a front guide bar shaft at the front of the trailer. The guide shafts may be secured beneath the surface of the trailer, and may include sprockets around which the chains loop. A motor, e.g., a winch, may be secured to the trailer and may drive, using a sprocket and chain running around a shaft protruding from the motor, one of the guide shafts, e.g., the front shaft, by turning a sprocket mechanically secured to the front guide shaft. The Trailer Loading/Unloading System may further comprise a hydraulic lift actuator for raising the front of the trailer, thereby tilting the trailer. Palletized cargo may be unloaded from the trailer by raising the front of the trailer and thereby tilting the trailer, actuating the motor to push palletized cargo toward the rear of the trailer, and pulling the trailer forward when the edge of the palletized cargo is touching the ground.

    摘要: A method and system for using laser-induced structures to direct light to exit the bottom of a leaky mode device, and further to divide leaky mode light into multiple orders, and to implement one or more pulsing/strobing patterns such that a field of view is increased for a viewer, or the view zone is increased for a viewer. A leaky mode device may comprise a substrate, a surface acoustic wave (“SAW”) transducer, a waveguide having a higher refractive index than the substrate, an input region for input light, and laser induced structures such as grating. The SAW transducer may be positioned on a top surface of the substrate, and may be configured to emit a SAW wave to propagate across the substrate. The waveguide may be positioned below the SAW. The input wave region may be configured to couple light onto the waveguide. When light is coupled onto the waveguide, the refractive index may change such that the light in the waveguide exits the waveguide as leaky mode light and interacts with the laser-induced grating, which is below the waveguide. The laser-induced grating is configured to divide the leaky mode light into multiple orders, each bent at a different angle.

    摘要: A system for three-dimensional (3D) optical trap printing (OTP) comprises a first particle susceptible to being cured by a light beam, a first light source to generate a trapping light beam to trap the particle, and a second light source to generate a curing light beam to cure the first particle. Using scanning and other optics, the trapping light beam may move the first particle to a desired printing location at which the curing light beam may cure the first particle, thereby adding the first particle to a printed structure. Using OTP, structures may be printed in any orientation, with or without support structures. Additionally, OTP allows for printing composite materials, high resolution color printing, printing of complex structures without sacrificial filler material, simultaneous printing of multiple particles, and combining particles at a print location.

    摘要: A stand-up gun safe comprises a substantially vertical, but moderately tilted, spine that supports one or more hinges, which in turn support two shell components that rotate relative to the spine and swivel relative to each other. In a closed configuration, the respective edges of the two shell components abut each other, creating a secure seam. In an open configuration, the two shell components are separated from each other as they swivel and rotate away from each other on the hinges secured to the spine. A locking mechanism keeps the two shell components in a closed state. Because the spine is tilted, and the two shells are located on the top of the spine, when the lock is released gravity forces the two shells apart from each other, thereby resulting in a gravity-powered opening.
