摘要: Load carriage systems are described including one or more of a first chest panel, a first back panel, and a self-adjusting cummerbund connecting the first chest panel and the first back panel. The self-adjusting cummerbund may include a tensioning mechanism configured to allow the cummerbund to extend and retract, and may be configured to provide varying resistive force. The tensioning mechanism may include one or more of a sliding portion, a continuous patterned length of material that is folded over itself, and an elastic member that is attached to the sliding member and the length of material. Body armor plates may be held between outer and inner chest panels and/or between outer and inner back panels. A strip of webbing may be used to secure the body armor plate between the outer and inner panels.

摘要: Flash suppressors having at least one contracting and then expanding burn chamber are described. The contracting and then expanding burn chamber may include one or more ribbed surfaces that enhance burning of propellant gasses and ambient oxygen before the gasses exit the flash suppressor. In some examples, a burn chamber may include a spirally threaded inner and/or outer surface, which swirls and cools the propellant gasses to enhance burning before the propellant gasses exit from the flash suppressor.

摘要: An aspect of various embodiments of the present invention system and method provide, but not limited thereto, a novel means for epicardial ablation using a double-curve steerable sheath and a double-curve deflectable open irrigated-tip/suction catheter that can be guided around the apex of the heart and adjusted so as to position the distal tip optimally. The catheter can also both deliver fluid to and withdraw fluid from the pericardial space. Access to the epicardial surface of the heart is via a subxiphoid entry. The method and means presented include, but are not limited to, steering, energy delivery, bipolar mapping, placement and use of electrodes, irrigation, suction of irrigation fluid, and other details of the subject invention.

摘要: A system and related method for delivering the anti-tumoral agent carmustine or other types of diagnostic or therapeutic agents into the brain of a patient with a brain tumor includes an insertion device, a skull mount, and a reformulated geometry of the carmustine compound (or other material) optimized for use in the insertion device and for maximized biodegradation time. The insertion device may be front loaded with the carmustine material (or other material) and inserted through the mount on a skull, to the location of the brain tumor, where the carmustine (or other material) is then released. It should be appreciated that the diagnostic and/or therapeutic system and related method thereof are not necessarily limited to the brain of a subject. It may also be used in the organ structures or tubular structures, as well as portions and locations thereof.

The accessory holder may also include flanges, surface treatments, or other features, that assist in holding the accessory in the holder.

The base support structure can include a support frame and a plurality of support members disposed at distal ends of the support frame. The thoracic frame can include a coupling structure, a front plate, and a plurality of struts. A connector member can removably connect the coupling structure to the support frame. The plurality of struts is mated to the front plate to redistribute a weight of the front plate away from shoulders of the wearer and towards the base support structure.
