摘要: A method for marketing a plurality of products or services includes the steps of selecting an arbitrary word and appending the arbitrary word to a first and a second product- or service-related word to create a first and a second site name. Each of the first and the second words is descriptive of a product or a service desired to be offered. The method also includes the step of establishing a first and a second electronic site. Each site is accessible via an electronic communications network, and each site offers at least one product or service describable by one of the first and second words. Next a linkage is created between the respective site names and the electronic sites. This linkage permits a user to access an electronic site with the use of the respective site name.

摘要: A device for reducing the effects of leakage current within electronic devices is disclosed. In one form, a high voltage driver includes a high voltage source coupled to at least one high voltage transistor and a leakage offset module coupled to at least a portion of one of the high voltage transistors. The leakage offset module includes a diode connected MOS device operable to generate an offset voltage and an MOS shunting device coupled in a parallel with the diode connected MOS device. During operation, the diode connected MOS device generates an offset voltage based on a sub-threshold leakage associated with using the high voltage source and the MOS shorting device is operable to short the diode connected MOS device when sub-threshold leakage current is relatively low.

摘要: Systems and methods for solving finite element models, wherein the matrix that governs the solution is modified by adjusting the weighting coefficients of the matrix so that the elements which lie on the diagonal of the matrix are non-negative and the elements which are off the diagonal are non-positive. In one embodiment, a system is discretized on a finite element mesh with the contribution of each node to the discretization being weighted based upon the direction of fluid flow across each element. The nodes which are upstream from the other nodes of the respective elements are weighted more heavily to cause the resulting matrix to be substantially diagonal. This matrix is solved using traditional techniques.

摘要: In accordance with a specific aspect of the present invention, a compressed video stream, such as an MPEG-2 video stream, is received by a transport demultiplexor, synchronized, parsed into separate packet types, and written to buffer locations external the demultiplexor. Adaptation field is handled by a separate parser. In addition, primary elementary stream data can be handled by separate primary elementary stream parsers based upon the packet identifier of the primary elementary stream. Video packets can be parsed based upon stream identifier values. Specific packets of data are stored in one or more system memory or video memory buffers by an output controller based upon allocation table information. Private data associated with specific elementary streams or packet adaptation fields are repacketized, and written to an output buffer location. In specific implementations, the hardware associated with the system is used to acquire the data stream without any knowledge of the specific protocol of the stream. In another embodiment, the hardware is used to implement a splicing of streams of data.

摘要: The current invention is directed to a system for adaptive medical decision support. The invented system provides a system that allows users to efficiently enter, access, and analyze medical information, without disrupting patient-doctor interactions or medical facility course of business; which assists in all stages of medical assessment and treatment; and which is tailored to the particular medical practice or specialty and taking into account the developing habits, preferences, performance, and individual patient histories, of an individual user. The invention provides a learning capacity configured to learn previously presented data and decisions and predict data or decisions based on data that it receives from the user, thereby adapting its operations to the developing habits, preferences, performance, and individual patient histories of an individual user. The system may also provide a “virtual specialist” feature, whereby the system can be instructed to produce the probable actions or recommendations of particular medical specialists.

摘要: An optimal printed circuit board input/output switching system is provided and includes a printed circuit board having multiple input/output ports with communication channels coupling the input/output ports to a switching fabric located thereon. Two printed circuit boards may be connected with a board connector for providing switching between input/output ports of the printed circuit boards in a dual-board switching system. The switching fabrics of each printed circuit board can function as an aggregate switching fabric to provide communication channel switching between the input/output ports of the two printed circuit boards. A dual-board switching system may include a single printed circuit board having the switching fabric located thereon. A board connector facilitates modification of the switching configuration. Connection of the two circuit boards provides a coplanar arrangement of the input/output ports of the printed circuit boards providing access thereto from a common plane of a switching system chassis.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for encrypting data from a plurality of multimedia devices. A driver initiates authentication for the plurality of multimedia applications. The driver assigns a key registers to each of the applications, based on available key registers. The applications use generated encryption key values to send data to be decrypted by their assigned key registers. The driver notifies video processing hardware of encryption seed keys to determine the generated encryption key values and hardware stores the value of corresponding decryption keys the assigned key registers. Each register can be used to exclusively decrypt data from an application of the plurality of applications. The driver directs the encrypted data from the applications to the video processing hardware. The video processing hardware decrypts the data and processes it into image data accordingly.
