    摘要: An improved battery monitoring system for liquid electrolyte batteries is provided. The battery monitoring system includes a network of sensors for monitoring the condition or performance of a plurality of liquid electrolyte batteries, for example lead-acid batteries. The sensors are adapted to share data regarding battery condition or battery performance to a standalone device over a wireless local area network. A server in electrical communication with the standalone device receives some or all of the data for analysis, which can result in maintenance alerts and other alerts being sent to the standalone device. The improved battery monitoring system can reduce or eliminate the manual inspection of lead-acid batteries and can improve battery operation and longevity by ensuring an appropriate level of maintenance for each lead-acid battery.

    摘要: A carpentry tool for pushing deck, flooring or other boards toward one another on a joist or underlying substructure. The tool can be operated with one hand, leaving the other hand free for installation of a fastener. The tool can leave an area adjacent the joist and board exposed so that a fastener can be installed in the board and joist in that area. The tool can include a pusher cam rotatably joined with a base, and fixedly joined with a lever. A joist cam and joist blade can be joined with the base, disposed opposite one another across a variable width joist recess. The pusher cam and joist cam can be mechanically coupled to the base so that rotation of the pusher cam urges rotation of the joist cam, thereby causing the joist cam to dynamically grip the joist and prevent the tool from rocking and/or moving away from the pushed board.

    摘要: An electrode-supporting assembly for a contact-start plasma arc torch has an insulator that partially houses an electrode, and employs a spring-loaded plunger to bias the electrode to a forward position. The spring is engaged between the plunger and a contact element attached to the insulator, and may conduct electrical current to the electrode. The plunger, spring, and contact element are retained in the insulator when the torch is opened to replace the electrode, which is a consumable part. The electrode and the plunger have axially-engagable mating surfaces to assure good thermal and electrical conductivity therebetween. Conductivity can be further enhanced by forming the plunger of silver or a silver-bearing alloy. In some embodiments, a passage through the insulator is partitioned into forward and rear chambers, with the plunger, spring, and contact element trapped in the rear chamber.

The rung alignment status indicator can include a lighting strip having multiple lighting elements on the ladder that are selectively illuminated depending on whether first rungs of one section of the ladder and second rungs of another section of the ladder are aligned or misaligned. The load status indicator can include a lighting strip including multiple lighting elements on the ladder and/or at a control console that are selectively illuminated depending on whether the ladder is overloaded beyond an aerial ladder capacity rating or other value. A user on the aerial ladder and/or at a control console can view the indicators to evaluate rung alignment and load status.

    摘要: A cargo net including a body having a network of structural members, a first end and a second end, each end defining a sleeve and/or including an elongated strap engagement base. First and second straps, separately formed from the body, ends, sleeves and/or bases, are disposed through the respective sleeves, and/or over the respective bases at the ends. Where the ends include strap slots on opposite ends of the bases, the straps can be weaved through the slots and over the bases. The straps can be ratchet straps and can be generally slidably mounted through the sleeves and/or over the bases or through the strap slots. The ratchet straps can be tightened, thereby further securing cargo under the cargo net. The body, first end, second end, sleeves and/or bases can be monolithically formed as a single piece structure. A method of using the cargo net also is provided.
