摘要： An Air Refueling Boom System comprising a boom joined to the tanker aircraft by means of a mechanical articulation with an inner fuel conduit and a nozzle at its distal end. The tip module of the boom includes a breakable section for separating the tip module in a first and a second portion for allowing a safe separation of tanker and receiver aircraft in a failure event of a refueling operation and linking means of its first and second portions to allow their separation in case of an overload on the nozzle when it is latched to the receptacle and to allow their separation in case of an overload on the nozzle when it is latched to the receptacle.

摘要： An element is deployed within tubing extending to a downhole tool. The downhole tool includes a hydraulic tool and a valve coupled between the conveyance string and the hydraulic tool. The valve includes a valve seat having a passage directing the fluid from the conveyance string to the hydraulic tool. Deploying the element includes landing the element on the valve seat such that the element substantially obstructs flow of the fluid through the valve seat passage. The valve is opened to direct the flow of the fluid around the hydraulic tool, wherein opening the valve utilizes pressure generated in response to the element obstructing the flow of the fluid through the valve seat passage. At least a portion of at least one of the element and the valve seat is then degraded by an amount sufficient to permit the element to pass through the valve seat passage.

摘要： The present invention relates to a sterile sample collection device for fluids and a method of using the same. It is comprised of a transfer device having a body with a bore formed through at least a portion of its interior. Contained within the bore is a movable plunger. The body has a first and a second end. The first end contains a face designed to be attached to the upstream component. The second end is connected to tube which is then connected to a collection bag. The plunger has corresponding first and second ends. The first end of the plunger when in the closed position is in alignment with the face of the body which combined form a steamable surface and a sterile barrier against the environment to the rest of the interior of the body, the plunger and downstream components.
