摘要: A treated substrate includes a low emissivity coating layer disposed on a substrate and a high emissivity coating layer disposed on the low emissivity coating layer. The low emissivity coating layer is formed a low emissivity coating composition including silver, or indium tin oxide, or fluorine-doped tin oxide, while the high emissivity coating layer is formed from a high emissivity coating composition including a carbon-doped silicon oxide. The treated substrate has an emissivity of from 0.7 to less than 1.0 at wavelengths ranging from 8 micrometers to 13 micrometers and has an emissivity of greater than 0 to 0.3 at wavelengths less than 6 micrometers. The treated substrate also maintains a visually acceptable mechanical brush durability resistance for at least 150 test cycles tested in accordance with ASTM D2486-17.

摘要: A window assembly comprises a substrate with a transparent layer that defines an area having a periphery. An outer region devoid of the transparent layer is defined adjacent the transparent layer along the periphery. A conductive element disposed on the substrate and comprises a first portion overlapping an area of the transparent layer and abutting and being in direct electrical contact with the transparent layer. The conductive element further comprises a second portion integrally extending from the first portion and disposed in the outer region. The periphery of the transparent layer delineates the first and second portions of the conductive element. The second portion has an area defining an enclosed slot. A feeding element couples to the conductive element for energizing the enclosed slot as a slot antenna. An energizing element couples to the conductive element for energizing the conductive element to implement a bus bar.

摘要: A window trim is used with a fixed window of a vehicle. The fixed window is fixed to the vehicle and has interior and exterior surfaces and a window edge. The window trim includes a trim body having a first section having a substantially linear configuration and a second section having an at least partially arcuate configuration defining a bend such that the second section extends back toward the first section and presents a contact surface engaging the window edge. The first section extends beyond the contact surface and along the interior surface. The window trim includes a reinforcement element having first and second reinforcement portions configured to correspond to the substantially linear and at least partially arcuate configurations of the trim body, respectively. The first and second reinforcement portions continuously extend as a single unit within the first and second portions, to support the trim body.

摘要: A window assembly includes an electrically conductive transparent layer and an antenna element disposed on a substrate. The antenna element includes a first antenna segment and a second antenna segment. The first antenna segment is elongated and disposed in an outer region devoid of the transparent layer. The second antenna segment extends from the first antenna segment toward the transparent layer such that the second antenna segment crosses a periphery of the transparent layer. The second antenna segment abuts and is in direct electrical contact with the transparent layer. A feeding element is coupled to the antenna element and energizes the first and second antenna segments and the transparent layer such that the first and second antenna segments and the transparent layer collectively transmit and/or receive radio frequency signals.

摘要: A window pane has a daylight opening and includes a substrate having a first surface. The window pane further includes an electrical device including a first busbar, a second busbar, and a gridline portion with each independently including a conductive material. The gridline portion has a first end operatively connected to and abutting the first busbar and a second end operatively connected to and abutting the second busbar. A gridline length is defined between the first and second ends of the gridline portion. The gridline portion is completely and directly disposed on the first surface along the gridline length. The first busbar and second busbar each independently includes a first layer of the conductive material disposed on the substrate. At least one of the first and the second busbars each independently includes a second layer of the conductive material disposed on the first layer.
