    摘要： The present document describes a protective wrapper for a roll having two ends and a length defining a distance between the two ends, the protective wrapper comprising: first one layer of paper material having two opposed edges and an edge strip at at least one of the two opposed edges of the first layer of paper material, the edge strip comprises one and only one layer of the paper material and the edge strip is for being inwardly crimped against one of the two ends; and a layer of protective material superposed to the first layer of paper material, the layer of protective material not overlapping the edge strip; wherein the first layer of paper material has a width greater than the distance between the two ends of the roll.
